Happy (Hoppy?) Easter Weekend! For the last few years I've been not really releasing new stuff on holiday weekends, but a) I've completely stopped looking at my numbers and really don't care how any videos perform, and b) this is a subject that, if I waited until next week to post, I'd be WAAAY behind, but I wanted to make a video about it. So, enjoy a few minutes away from your family this weekend with this video... or watch it with them! Maybe Grandma has some opinions on this one!

Internet comedian Druski, known for his parody and satire skits where he dresses up like other people, donned a costume that looked suspiciously like Erika Kirk to do Pilates and order from Starbucks, dancing on a stage near pyrotechnics, and reading exact quotes from Erika's recent interviews. But wait, Druski is a BLACK MAN! Can he do this?! And shouldn't we leave a poor widow alone?! Buckley looks at the backlash, and wonders why people are so desperate to have comedy from the 1920s back?

I'm guessing you got that shirt from Spencer's? I had one in high school that said all stressed out and no one to choke. This was pre Columbine though 1998.

I honestly think I got it from a flea market. It was probably a knockoff of something found at either Spencer's or The It Store (which was, I believe, a Canadian mall store that was very similar to Spencer's, but we didn't have them in the early 90s in Canada).

I knew of this kerfuffle but hadn't seen the video so I am happy you covered it! Erica Kirk is ridiculous. I asked my husband if I could have pyrotechnics at his funeral and he laughed so hard that I was afraid he thought I meant this week. I hope we both live long enough to see maga stamped down into the mud they love rolling in.

Oh it's pretty nuts. I'm not really sure which is weirder: the people who set it up, or the people who want their picture taken in it. But it's such a low-level carny thing to do, it's like people wanting their picture taken with the old Bonnie and Clyde death car.

You could be like Hunter S Thompson, and have your ashes shot out of a cannon at your funeral!

So.. my take from this is that Druski is a black Amy Schumer. Taking things other comedians did long before and ripping them off, but without being actually funny.

Ron

It was super funny, not a Druski fan but the makeup artist is the real MVP

J-mann

Dude clearly has good connections

Turning Point is a grift whether Charlie Kirk is alive or not.

Damn it Buckley, you literally made me spit my drink when you showed the picture of Ralph Shorty. I live in Oklahoma and remember that story all too well. In a state that’s so stinking conservative. You still had people defending him.
