Hey everyone, it's Early Access Day! Today's video is a follow-up of sorts to a Patreon Exclusive I did 2 years ago about artists cancelling tours and coming up with excuses. Guess I should have come up with a clever name for it, I could have taken credit for coming up with this phenomenon way sooner. Enjoy!

You've been hearing for the last few years now "ohh concerts are too expensive, it's so hard to get tickets anyway, they sell out so quickly!" but what if I told you that only half of that is true right now? Many artists, including fairly big names, are only selling half the arena or more... and when that happens? They make up an excuse and cancel their shows! Buckley looks at "Blue Dot Fever", the affliction that apparently Post Malone & Jelly Roll, Meghan Trainor, and the Pussycat Dolls are suffering from, along with many other artists.

Simply put a lot of these stars are wrong to charge a lot for tickets when we are having skyrocketing prices on essentials. Especially Meghan Trainor, she hasn't had a #1 hit in a decade!!!! At the very least these entertainers could have chosen a smaller venue.

I work in a relitivaly small arena and Megan Trainor was a big get. Oh well. At least I still get to work at dude, perfect.

Oh I definitely think Dude Perfect would sell more tickets to a show than Meghan. An hour of them trying to throw something into something else.

Yeah Meghan is unrealistic for sure (or her label is). Should be doing 4000 seaters with tickets starting at $50. But these people have these massive egos, they think "well if Morgan Wallen is averaging $300 a ticket I should be able to as well", not realizing they're not Morgan Wallen.

I can see Taylor Swift or Beyonce but others.....not so much.

Welp, maybe this will be the thing that convinces artists to scale down venues (seriously, stadium concerts are terrible compared to theatres or even arenas for atmosphere, acoustics and what you can actually see - half the time you’re looking at the screen), lose all the bells and whistles, and have the focus be on the music, not the lights, choreography and effects, therefore bringing costs down to a level where people can afford it. But then again, without all that stuff, the audience would quickly see that so many of these artists suck 😂

As someone who is doing a rewatch of WCW 99 because I hate myself, I wish they ignored their gut feeling and had the shows just to laugh at the sight of thousands of empty seats
