Hey everyone, it's Early Access Day! Before we get to it though, just want to let everyone know that I'll be Revisiting The Ten Worst Songs of 2013 as my throwback summer video this year, and if you'd like your name in it at the beginning, please consider signing up to the OverDose tier. Expect that to come out PROBABLY on the 20th.

As for this week's video... I know I say this like once a month but this one has one of my favorite endings I've done in a while. Enjoy!

Buckley looks at two stories about people being... rewarded for their dark comedy? First: numerous people were fired from their jobs for making jokes or comments about Charlie Kirk's murder, but they've since received settlements in court, with one man getting over $800,000, just for posting memes about Chuck! Do you think Tony Hinchcliffe got paid $800,000 for his jokes about George Floyd? Because that brings us to the second story: The roast of Kevin Hart drew backlash from social media and other comedians (namely Chelsea Handler) for jokes by Shane Gillis and the "Kill Tony" star. BUT the so-called "woke" streaming service has left it up, and had previously told their own staff that if they don't like something on the platform, to quit their jobs. Is comedy back? Or did it ever really go anywhere?

Im pro first amendment but Kevin and Netflix SHOULD NOT have invited Tony Hinchcliffe. He has a ignorant audience. Stay in his lane. For the record the best roasters were Tom Brady, Imam, and Katt Williams.

A Dose of Buckley

I'm not really sure what the link was to begin with, like... are they friends? Not sure if Gillis and Hart have really worked together either, suppose I could look it up, but either way, they don't seem like they're all best pals, which is generally who's supposed to participate in a roast ("we only roast the ones we love"), like when Bob Sagat had Norm Macdonald and John Stamos.

Ron

Katt Williams said he has no friends and they were enemies.

Out the park again! I put my comment on YT.

It was Buckley who said this perfectly in a video - can’t remember which one. You can decide what your “line” is, but you don’t get to decide mine. I’m glad there’s some pushback against sanitising comedy. I went to the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, and gotta say, like always, Australia is behind the curve. You can tell the comedians are either culture warriors who think they are funny with the sanitised comedy (they’re not, pointing things out isn’t a joke), or they were walking on eggshells trying to make jokes that wouldn’t offend. Obviously, comedy should be, oh, idk, *funny* and often wit is required to do that, but if we keep allowing it to be policed by people who aren’t even in the audience, and who are never happy with this line, we all lose out.

Why do you always do a Musk impression but never a Trump one

A Dose of Buckley

I've tried in videos I think but I really don't have a Trump impression, even a caricature (my Musk impression isn't really a GOOD impression but it more captures his bland speaking style). I'm just terrible at it.
