Hey everyone, it's Early Access Day! It's a "not-quite-a-musical-autopsy" of the notorious new Tyga album that every critic has basically deemed one of the worst albums ever made, and in fact not even worthy of being called music. Enjoy!

Viewers of this channel will remember Tyga for "Rack City" and his appearance on the Manika classic "I Might Go Lesbian", but did you know he STILL makes music? Well, actually that's debatable if you watch Anthony Fantano, who rated his recent album "Not Music", and Pitchfork gave it a 0.0, only the second album they've done that for in this century. Buckley walks you through the AI controversy, and plays you a few examples so you can judge for yourself.

Goodness Buckley, playing those clips has to be a crime of some sort. If Time is Currency, you stole my legal tender in addition to inflicting psychic damage.

I’ve watched that Fantano video. He thinks the whole thing is AI. The vocals, the music, every last bit of it. Tyga prompted the AI to make this lazy dogshit and it did. It’s funny because before AI made everything fake as fuck. People were already there. All these stupid algorithms and lazy successes already made people lazy with their “content”. It’s hard to find anything that’s worth the time. That was before AI came along and made it even worse.

I think there's an argument to be made about that for sure. I mean, every single song sounds different. If you played all three of the clips I showed you to someone, and said "who do you think is singing?", you'd get three different answers, no one would go "Is this not the same person?" AI still struggles with things like "object permanence"

Dude. I appreciate the stuff you make. You’re one of the few channels I’ve never unsubscribed from. I usually get sick of pretty much everything after a while because it just becomes stale to my mind. Not your channel. It will suck the day that it ends. That’s just the inevitability of life.

There are few people who has tried to make the same song on Sudo with tags like "sound like Tyga", "with vocals like Tyga". And they got like the same kind of songs they get on the Album. Sooo... maybe the full album is A.I So he didn't nothing on it. That should explain why his vocals sound different on other song. Or maybe he is shitty

Danni Lamarr

Oh man. The whole album sounds off.

I think I've probably made everyone endure worse... I always think things with really annoying, repetitive sounds are worse, like that "I Love it I love it I love it" song from a couple years ago, or any other hooks where it's just one or two words over and over.

All I know about this guy is the gun racks on top of gun racks.

Jesus, I know Jet’s “Shine On” was a pretty bland, dull album with no real great moments… I didn’t know someone, even for clickbait, thought it was worth *0* stars and a monkey pissing 😂 Speaking of shit from Australia, the ARIAs have banned AI generated music from charting. A good start, but as a musician I’d like to see the entire world put the foot down and ban AI generated music. We don’t need a tidal wave of AI slop, it’s already hard enough for emerging artists. Tyga saying this shit doesn’t help.

The worst for me is when you played part of Sia's Alive in one of your Worst Songs videos.

When you reminded me that Tyga released “Stimulated” my mouth dropped, because I DO remember that. What a disgusting song. I’m hardly surprised that someone with such a poor moral compass would dive head-first into generative AI slop. On an semi-related note, I was introduced to a new slang term the other day that I think is relevant here: “meat proxy”: a human being who’s job is solely to act as the point of contact interfacing between other people and an AI doing their job for them.

We, as a society, owe Rebecca Black and the two girls in Hot Problems an apology. If we only knew how bad it could get.

The songs sound like the soundtrack to a low budget 80's sex comedy.

Ron

Nothing new, Tyga has been making terrible music for years.

Remember those small recording "studios" at the mall? Where you basically went in and recorded yourself or you with your friends singing terrible karaoke? That's still better than this monstrosity
