All he wanted was a friend, a companion to talk to. What he got was not what he wanted. He had made a mistake, the time had come to correct hat mistake.

He sat alone like always, he stared at the coffin leaned up against the wall. His rifle, the other tool of his old trade sat on his lap. He continually polished the rifle as he thought on his stupidity and what he had to do now.

As a former darkness hunter he should of known. But he was so alone, day after day isolated in the vaults of the theatre. All he knew was lists and shelf numbers, not that it mattered, none of the stage hands even asked where anything was. They just ignored him and took what they needed.

The theatre provided everything he needed, even the strange book he found that he swore he had never seen before. Wood and props made the shape of the man, hair collected from the brush of Lady Leia Hermione Willingham made for perfect veins.

The words from the book gave his creation life.

Over many nights the ritual complete, the creation sat up. Not only could it move, it could speak and had feelings, but it just couldn’t understand these feelings. Frustration lead to rage, rage to murder, murder to a desperate obsession.

Yes, he had made a mistake, but it wasn’t his first. After he had dealt with his most recent one, he promised himself he would have a purpose again! He would hunt down all those creatures that escaped him before.
