This comic is based on my cat Max, who has become more aggressive in waking me up recently. It started about three weeks ago when I began giving him wet food with laxative (I'll spare you the details but suffice it to say it's working). He LOVES the wet food and every morning, around 4:45, he starts his campaign to get me up to get his Natural Balance Chicken.

His wake-up techniques include: meowing quietly, jumping on and off the dresser, meowing loudly, scratching the new chair near the bed, gently pressing his paw on my nose, and smacking me hard on the nose. He hasn't used an air horn...yet.

My wife is spared from all of this. He goes after me because I'm the one who feeds him. Max is no dummy.

Have a good day and enjoy your weekend!

Thumbs. Every night. When she wants some petpets. My old blind man Sonic will get into the bathtub twice a night (morning) and meow for me to come turn on the tap for him to laplap. 🦖😹

I had to give a powdered laxative sprinkled on his food to one of mine and now I do it once a week or so as a preventative measure. I had a cat who had two methods to try to get me up: bite my fingers if they weren't under the covers, or stick his nose in my ear. All other cats I've had let me sleep!

So funny! They are no dummies that's for sure! Have to give them credit for getting their way as annoying as it is...... 😉😂

I had one cat, AJ, that would bite my face.! Now I have one who simply stares at me. Psychological warfare. Believe me, cat always wins.

My cat Smudge woke me up today by dropping my watch onto the hard wood floor.
