My cat Hannah is 16 and she has arthritis. She was having trouble jumping up on the bed, so we bought a set of stairs for her. We put them out and she ignored them. Now she's jumping up on the bed fine.

I'm glad the stairs weren't expensive.

As always, if you buy it, they will ignore it. Cats!

I had a cat who when she was about that age was having trouble jumping up to the bedside table, which she did instead of jumping directly onto the bed. I placed a stool for her and she started trying to jump over the stool! I had to pick her up and put her on the stool a couple times before she figured out what it was for.

My Scooter is 16. Sometimes acts like she can hardly cross the room and other times is leaping around like she's a kitten. I added a stool near the bed so that she could get up on it more easily which guaranteed that she now comes around to the other side and jumps up on her own.

That’s so funny! We never can tell with our cats what’s happening. They hide their pains so well. My cat is 17 and she’s pretty happy to have us pick her up and place her wherever she wants to go. I’ve see her jump, she can…. But, we oblige because we don’t want her to hurt herself. (She has fallen) This, stair story is hilarious though…so cute and typical! 😆
