I didn't watch the Oscars and shortly after I finished this cartoon, I saw the news about Will Smith slapping Chris Rock. I'll read more about it tomorrow morning. Shocking that Will Smith, Hollywood's Golden Boy, did something like that at the Oscars. Wow.

For a moment, I thought it was staged (from the report; I didn't watch). But Smith hasn't been Hollywood's Golden Boy since the late '90s.

The joke was in poor taste - I’m not a big fan of making fun of people for things they can’t control. Chris Rock could’ve come up with something better than that.

Totally out of line for Chris Rock. He deserved that slap. I have a family member who had the same health condition and it was horribly stressful on him and his wife. And I’m pretty sure my cat could be a close runner up for this award mentioned in your cartoon. 😂
