I enjoyed the article. The Far Side was always a favorite here. We bought the calendar every year. One of my favorites from that artist was “curiosity killed the cats.” Your “Steve and the puffy tail” remains an all time favorite as well. Any one with cats knows puffy tail is a classic.

Eddie hit the jackpot! 😁 Loved the article. I find it funny in itself that the tree cartoons were deemed “too weird”😜! I find them very cute. And your top 5 I think are pretty near my top too. Except the one you have of Bernice the cat who hates being held. And the dog is trying to encourage her to savor it! Lol! Reminds me of our cat Chilly who absolutely hated my daughters “cuddle attempts” over the years. 🤣

Ha. I’m guessing “loosely based” means as a man anytime you’ve asked a member of the opposite sex”What’s wrong?” And received “Nothing” when clearly it’s “Something”. Ah, if only for a puffy tail reveal😵‍💫

Thanks, glad you like Tree! I really enjoyed doing that strip and it was tough that it didn’t get syndicated because a couple editors told me they loved it. One editor said “The average person in middle America wouldn’t get it,” which I found condescending. It’s probably best it didn’t work out, at least with that one syndicate. He seemed to be a turd. :) Your cat Chilly is a lot like my cat Hannah!
