Back from Lake Tahoe - and back to the usual routine tomorrow.

One of the highlights of the Tahoe trip was the Tahoe Treetop Adventure Park. This place has a bunch of obstacle courses where you stress about--I mean, "skillfully navigate"-- rope swings, wobbly bridges, swinging logs, tightropes, cargo nets, horizontal climbing walls, etc, to get from one tree platform to another. Zip lines were often part of the obstacle courses.

The zip lines were fun. A couple of the high tightrope walks/bridges were not so fun.

We were there for two and a half hours and I almost totally freaked out twice. Each time, I was about 40 feet above ground, thinking: "I'm tethered to this wire, so I won't fall to my death. I'll just fall to my humiliation." (If you fall, you just dangle there, yelling for a staff member to rescue you. Thankfully this didn't happen!)

Overall, it was a lot of fun. But if we go back there, I know there's one course I won't do. (It was called "Rings"--a Black diamond course--and it was stressful.)

I'm very passionate about my fear of heights. I would have totally freaked out on your behalf just thinking about going to a place like that. Or rather I would have stayed on the ground and been the one in charge of taking pictures. Glad you made it back safely and without any embarrassment.

That sounds brilliant, and I love your thought process to redirect

I would have been in the "stress about" group! Glad you survived and mostly had fun.

Glad you had a great vacation. Sounds pretty “ambitious” 😉 we had a swing bridge to cross on our vacation. It was definitely a weird feeling.. doesn’t help when people in front of you decide it would be fun to literally jump up and down on it. 😳 My husband is afraid of heights, he couldn’t do it, but I did! About as far as I push it! 😉
