@Badger yeah, as much as I empathize with Lucy having trauma and lashing out, I have to say she'd probably do well with more people calling her on her BS tbh

That is about how I feel. I grew up around a lot of lingering trauma, and it can be easy, especially for adults, to look at the unfolding individual traumas of multiple youths and assume a “good guy” when it’s almost always messier than that. People with trauma who don’t learn to handle their trauma often pass aspects of it on to others, which is part of why good support structures are so powerful.

Oof, Lucy, this your least defensible position, even if I understand how trauma can warp your memories. Daisy was giving you some harsh critique, Paulo was being his past horn dog self, and Sue was starting to get frustrated with everyone else in the group. No one was acting out of malice, and Lucy needs to accept that the only one she should be mad at is Alejandro (and Augustus I guess, but it was Lucy's choice to bring him into her life, so she should have dealt with this with a therapist)

I'm honestly hoping that Sue begins to connect the dots about Mike being more absent lately. Not just form not coming for lunch, but the fact he even barely comes to their guild on their online game at all. Especially if Lucy and August are more present inside, I hope she sense something is off. Cause I know as much as she dislikes Mike for how she treated her and others lately due to his girlfriend, I hope she shows she still cares and at least goes check on him too. August, David and Lucy need a bit of a reality check

All considered, Didn't Sue and Paulo get the worst of it during that confrontation? Sue literally beaten down and Paulo retraumatized then beaten down

In that moment I now hate him for what he did. This didn't help either side, it felt like he made it worst with no chance of reconciliation or any real healing at all. And David just added more fuel to the fire. Sorry if I'm that vocal with them, I just outright hated what they did and how it potentially made their situation even worse

I do thinks it’s great that Sue is standing up for herself, but is everyone forgetting that Lucy was sexually assaulted in this confrontation??? She BY FAR got the worst of it in that situation and afterwards Paulo and David continued to comment on her body constantly. Daisy was there and still, very recently, gave Lucy shit about being pretty and wanted by boys. She has every right to be incredibly angry (not that she has handled it well, I just think it’s understandable).

Lucy, better not lash out any further. Sue has a point. She was hurt too, and has tried to move on by simply moving on. She knows that swelling on it won't make anything better and just tried to move on. That's not selfish, that's just how you cope. But if Lucy keeps lashing out and doesn't back down then Sue is really gonna have to consider that maybe Lucy is gonna be hard to be around, just like Mike too.
