"Why don't we make that CM Punk's show, and put all the people who don't like him on the other show?"

I had no interest in watching little phil and so I went to the back to get food as soon as his music started. It was a shame to miss Samoa Joe but at least I eventually got to see him at Forbidden Door last year.

Steve Jones

Too early to chuck the Americano mask match out as a Wrestlememas suggestion?

Ben

Feel like I remember a report at the time in 2023 where AEW has said everyone is arriving at different times and to book their own transport which the company would reimburse. I imagine Punk ignored that if tried to get the photos on the tube to use for more anger

Ivan williams

Hypothetically; if cm punk started taking steroids, I'm sure it would make him a calmer and more reasonable person

Christopher Tolfree

Bowers who runs north was involved in progress for a bit before it got sold again

Jack Jones

If you guys had brought progress I would be standing there eagerly waiting for the half time interval of Marc reading count bartellis book to the deathly silence of the crowd apart from myself pissing my self laughing

David Fleming

The hypothetical Wrestle Me / Progress first tag champs. The Big Bosh Men

Damien

I loved that FTR vs Jay White and Juice Robinson 2/3 tag match on Collision but I get exactly what you mean about his character, Marco ... BOSH!

TibBo

If only there was some way for you to remember Mark from Peep Shows name Marc

CM Punk had a chance to be that guy he always claimed to be, you know " voice of the voiceless" but instead he climbed back up into triple h's lap and became just another guy!

Kris Davies

I never expected a Clara Bow shoutout on this podcast but I’m here for it!

Ivan williams

Can confirm cash wheeler incident did happen before this event. I remember the "wheelers gotta gun" chants eagerly being shouted by smartasses. If memory serves me there was also a concern he may not have been able to travel for the show as court proceeding were ongoing at the time

Space Lou

My wife was immediately laughing hearing silent film star Clara Bow referenced then one of her favourite games mentioned, which was immediately followed by the nursing home comment and her going “…yeah that’s fair”

There's a certain kind of man of a certain age on forums who can't go a day without referencing Peep Show/I'm Alan Partridge/The Office (UK). It's quite a widespread issue. On forums.

Am I the only one who is not sure about the hatred for Will's mic skills? Personally, I think they're great. So much so that I once told an MC for a gaming evening that he was like Will on the mic. He'd never heard of him but I don't think he was offended.

The thing I remember was me pretty fresh into training who'd been like "well I better go and see this its the biggest pro wrestling thing britian has seen" and just being sick of the constant "CM Punk did a shit in the elites private dresser and they are none to happy" type deal that was just constant and often times from disreputable sources. So it's after the show and I'm in the car with some other wrestlers and I'm like "oh I don't believe the jack Perry bit unless Sean Ross Sap says it cause so much of it is just bullshit" "Josie Sean Ross sap confirms the story" I looked like a right tit.

Excuse The Accent

I believe the bosh boys are referred to as “left-wing bosh” and “right-wing bosh”

In the olden days of AEW Dark and during the Dynamite ad breaks Excalibur and Jericho used to amuse each other by quoting British sitcoms like Garth Marenghi's Darkplace, so maybe the Peep Show Four Naans thing was solely for them.

A sincere answer to the 'where are all the fans' question. I live in Hull. And I'm a teacher. The All In (and Forbidden Door last year) fall on a bank holiday weekend in August. I can go to that and not feel too guilty. The big Pro Wrestling Eve show this year - which it sounds like I'd have missed all of in the end because of the stage - was a Sunday in term time. Essentially, I'd love to go see more wrestling, but the time and place rarely works out. I can go see Megaslam (which is entirely for kids) or New Gen Wrestling. That's all my choices bar the one weekend in August AEW bring a top tier event. WWE come as close as Sheffield but the prices are ludicrous. I reckon plenty of us are in the same boat. Really hope this is taken in the manner it's meant 👍🏼

I'd love to go to more wrestling but my mates all look at it as something they used to watch when they were 10. Went to the first two All Ins alone, had a great time sat next to some nice people who managed not to look at me too pitifully. This year my daughter is old enough to be dragged along for expensive snacks and strict instructions that we are going to have FUN! But as it happens, when my middle aged mates had a bout of "we need to meet up more" recently, I happened to see there's Progress show in Manchester on Sunday so I've press ganged the lot of them into going - bought a Kendo Nagasaki mask for the occasion! I can't think why they all think I'm massive dork.

The Wrestling Channel show was maybe the first time I saw wrestling live. Distinctly remember the signing afterwards where Mick Foley, actual megastar, enthusiasticly signed things and made conversation, whilst CM Punk and Raven complained audibly in front of the whole queue about having to be there and wanting to leave. Great lads.

Marc forgetting the Peep Show character Mark’s name is absurd
