Reviewing women so extensively, one might consider Pete and Marc keyworkers.

Can't get my key worker shift covered to take advantage of the cheap AEW tickets 😕

Such was John Thaw’s power on Inspector Morse that by the later series every ep had to sneak in a WWE Easter egg. Take the travelling circus episode: there’s a bloke called Jake whose speciality is handling reptiles. Morse’s Jaguar’s registration number for one ep contained NWO

As I was walking up the stairs, I saw The Man who was not there He was not there again today, I wish The Man would go away

FRANK SIDEBOTTOM TALK! May I take this moment to recommend Mick Middle’s book — Out of His Head, and Steve Sullivan’s film — Being Frank. I’m delighted to hear about how he treated his XFM appearances. Dick Witts tells the story of interviewing Chris Sievey in 1993 for a listings magazine at Reading festival. He went to Chris’ Caravan and Frank answered the door. He answered everything obtusely, totally unusable for copy. He then got little Frank out and got into a “violent argument” with him (—If one were looking to justify this story, they could claim this constitutes WRESTLING?—). He then demanded that little Frank apologise. Dick was the only audience to this, and he couldn’t use any of it for the listings magazine.

Being a WrestleMeniac is an essential service.

Pretty sure "bit more English" means "a bit more mustard" (sting/effort) - with English mustard being a stronger mustard.

Blue light tickets sold out. Why they made it a code and not just through the actual BL app I do not know...

Jerry Sadowitz...... Gerry Anderson, the Thunderbirds man!

Given that I'm trying to watch WCW and AEW chronologically and want as few spoilers as possible, I've not been able to listen to Wrestle Me! for a while! Waaaa.

Andy Cain

Ah fire extinguishers in wrestling matches or as I once heard it described 'elephant bukkake'.

John Lister

English is a term for hitting a pool ball in a position other than the centre to make it spin a particular way. The further away from the centre, the more "English" you are putting on it. It's also sometimes used more casually just to describe the spin itself. Tragically I only know this because as a teenager I had to get a grown-up to explain why it was funny that Bobby Heenan said "Tito Santana is like a cue ball: the harder you strike him, the more English you get out of him."

I absolutely love the level of confusion the lads have with America and American idioms! Not knowing the term "english", rubbishing it, then Pete comes through. Classic Wrestle Me!

Ryan Hald

Remembered I had this on VHS.

Craig Tomkinson

What Punk was saying with ‘English’ was kind of like an American equivalent of when Hoddle referred to Beckham putting a lot of ‘swazz’ on a free kick. As others have said, it’s referring to the spin on an American pool shot.

Lads, I just got charged 5.50 for a box of Calippos.

Like Marc my wrestling week will consist of: Thursday - Pro Wrestling Ceasefire Saturday - RevPro Sunday - AEW Monday - PROGRESS Wrestling Frist time I've ever attempted this, I'm either going to have the best time or never want to watch any wrestling ever again lol.

Paul

Marc quote of the week “I am a big Chastity fan”. Great stuff
