There’s a stand up who does a routine about him not having weird dietary restrictions like women and gay men. He does however have unexplained diarrhoea his entire adult life.

Sadly, there’s only one official Naked Mideon match…against Regal. A shoe-in for WrestleMeMas

By the end of the 1990s, John Thaw's relationship with ITV had become increasingly tumultuous. Many of the executives from the early Morse years had departed, some becoming extremely wealthy following the consolidation of the old regional ITV companies, while Thaw remained fiercely protective of Morse. During negotiations for one of his final contracts, Thaw's agent reportedly secured an unusual provision concerning spin-offs. ITV could propose them, but Thaw effectively held the line: there would be no expanding Morse universe simply to exploit the brand. His view was that it would dilute the integrity of what they'd created. Then came WWF No Mercy UK, Manchester, 16 May 1999. ITV executives invited Thaw to show that they weren’t all bad. However there was water in the conversation engine until Triple H appeared. The Manchester crowd greeted him with a magnificent chorus of boos. Among those enthusiastically joining in was an unexpectedly animated John Thaw. Who according to one ITV source was ‘Feral with Rage’ another said he had ‘Wild Eye like Wittgenstein’ As Triple H's entrance continued…and continued…and continued, one of ITV's younger executives leaned towards Thaw: “We could have Morse enter to Wagner's Ring Cycle and he'd still reach the ring before Triple H.” Thaw cracked. After several years of resisting ITV's attempts to continue the franchise, he laughed and replied: “You can have your spin-off.” And thus, through the excessive entrance time of Triple H, the path was cleared for Lewis and, ultimately, Endeavour. The entire Morse television universe therefore owes its existence to a heel taking too bloody long to get to the ring in Manchester.

The UKFF are going to love the shitting chat at the start

Enjoyed discussion satanism and crucifixion sailing close to the wind. I think this attitude was a big part of this era of wrestling, pushing taboos bit in a controlled way, even if it wasn't for any good reason apart from being edgy. I think it's fairly missing in modern televised wrestling, apart from Christian Cage doing his dead father bit. When they cut to him post inoki family tribute I was genuinely shocked

Shitinahotelme Marc and Pete ❤️👍

Austin v Rock, biggest feud in Wrestling history? Pah. It's no Wrestle Me Vs John Tenta 😉😜

Paul Chandler

Oh dear Marc. Backlash 2004 featured a rematch of the WM20 main event. Benoit tapped out the person who didn't tap in the Mania event (HBK I think.) You're thinking of Bad Blood a couple of months later.

Praying to the Porcelain God is a another way of saying you were vomiting into a toilet all night. Most likely cause from overindulgence in alcohol. Because normally when you were vomiting the words "oh God oh God oh God" are commonly recited.

Let’s see what madness is going on this week!

Didn't anticipate the boys discussing endometriosis this week, but Wrestle Me continues to prove why they're the best wrestling pod. Poorly tum sufferers unite!

Being in The Ministry of Darkness was probably all fun and games until The Corporate Ministry takeover. Then I'd expect it was day to day mandatory training, KPIs and performance reviews

I don’t know where else to put this information

Hypothetically, is Archbishop Mick McManus the authority on the Porcelain Gods?

If there’s a nationwide emergency alert signal but I’m not watching two grown men dressed as Gangrel talking about U.K. Pay Per Views in front of a live audience, does it even count?

Andy Cain

I get the feeling from listening to these podcasts that if Mideons amputated toes came up for sale then they may find themselves being added to Marc's collection 🤣❤️

Johny the BFG

Have to disagree...backlash 2000 was miles better than the wm that year Had rock v hhh in the main event which was obviously better than that awful overbooked 4 way with a big show in a big bastard shirt and a very out of shape foley

Hello Marc and Pete, I have been a fan since 2022 when I happened to stumble on to one of your YouTube videos and at the time I listened to a lot of wrestling podcasts ( from stone cold to all of Conrad Thompsons group ) but now I'm pat patreonson through and through. I couldn't listen to anyone else because they all get on my nerves.

I very much enjoyed the opening talk about sick and bowel problems, and would happily pay for an offshoot Patreon about those issues. I feel seen, I think is the term. For 25 years I've always had to plan ahead toilet stops in advance, scouting out venues and homes (friend's homes, not random homes, as that actually might be a crime) just in case my bowels have suddenly decided that day that the bland toast and tea I had for breakfast is on the same bowel-effect level as Vindaloo and Guinness. So yeah, thank you for that! I've still to listen to the wrestling bit, as I was so compelled to post this message, I paused it. In conclusion: bowels
