Unlearn these Titanic 'Facts'

Any good historian knows better than to say they already know everything possible about a topic of history they love. How boring would it be if we already knew everything possible!? Finally the Titanic head on collision is mentioned and with the exact same points I was making for so long to counter this to others, the killing of hundreds of crew and passengers in the bow, plus injuring hundreds more from the sudden stop, and what happened to Britannic because of the explosion warping it's hull. Not to mention the fact that the ship was riveted and not welded so the hull plates could also just pop open from the force and let in more water, on top of the water tight doors from Britannic getting stuck open. Plus no sailor in history would be taught to intentionally hit dangerous objects instead of avoiding them. Seems basic physics and common sense escape the people believing this would work.
