The monthly update is coming soon as Kyle can take a moment away from his Alpha-hull to write his paragraph. In the meantime here are our June figures for you guys.

After platform fees and merch that'll be sent out soon, we got $7,810 of the $10,834 that was pledged for June on or around July 5th. There's actually $1,182 available to withdraw from July still that Patreon found (they do every month after the initial first round of attempted charges) which will change the figures.

Patreon's cut totals $1,122 and payment fees (like billing costs) were $601.

The merch this month was $992 (see note below for special talk about merch.)

YouTube ad revenue brought in $1,209 for the month of May on June 22nd.

Our expenses for the month of June were:

Lawyer fees to the ex-GmbH (tomorrow they are paid and only $2,546, woo!): $3,675

Seven members of the core team: $3,802

Subscriptions for three monthly and one yearly service: $309

Postage: $241

Ads for our store and site which I thought were supposed to end, and I am gonna figure out now...: $274

Misc. store refunds, COGS, purchases, and fees totaling: $1,424

Not an expense, but transferred to our VDR savings account: $2286.

A special note about merch! (this will be addressed in the update too)

We've gotten a lot of messages and emails wondering where your merch and rewards are as you've been with us for a while! This is something I've wanted to take a moment to address. About half a year ago we had Patreon handle our merch instead of us mailing out postcards and prints due to the stress and time commitment. It was very difficult for one person (Matt) to mail out hundreds of items monthly after April 2021 and there's still *a lot* of merch that is due from the TU year that we hope to get to this fall. Having Patreon manage it takes a load off our backs and, presumably, doesn't get us stuck in a situation like we are with the model ship store.

But we did set up the items you get, we can't guarantee when exactly you get them after Patreon processes them. We ask you to be a little patient and perhaps check out their FAQ on the merch at the bottom of this page (it is more detailed to creators but it might help you understand.)

Please make sure you have your physical addresses filled out in your profiles. When your merch is coming you should get an email from Patreon (check your spams!) which will have tracking! They provide all the customer support if anything gets lost or broken and will replace (apparently within reason, they had to write out on their page...)

I hope that answers any outstanding concerns! Your merch is coming! Patreon guarantees it!

Thanks for the update! Can someone explain what ex-GmbH is?

Luke

Thanks for the update, regards the Merch that Patreon send out, I feel they are undercutting you worst than usual to be honest, the quality of the posters I've received are very poor, they are cheap, feel cheap and look cheap. I've received two so far, the first was the badly cropped and blurred side view of the Titanic which I emailed you screenshots of at your request, and so you are already aware of this one specifically. The second was an image of the Lounge (I think, I don't have it to hand as I write this), the resolution was as poor as the first and frankly not worthy of being anything special for a high(ish) contribution, I could literally print a screenshot in A3 (UK Metric) and achieve a far bigger and better result at home, my local supermarket (Asda) sells A2 and A1 movie posters for around £5 to £8 each and these are far superior to what Patreon send me. It's a shame that what should be beautiful renders are wastefully printed in poor resolution, and then shipped half way around the world at great cost. The cost of shipping these small posters as merch to the UK in a triangular tube must be considerable from the US and quite a dent in the funds, it's worthless as a thank you item. I would sooner donate and receive nothing than be sent things that take away funds from the project to feed a big company like Patreon, I feel they are robbing from you and us to quite an extent, this view is re-enforced by the fact that you do not control the merch they send out, so from my perspective they are behaving poorly, even if being with them might ultimately be bringing in more donations than you otherwise might be without them. This "complaint" is aimed purely with Patreon in mind, I want to make it clear that I feel no less compelled to support the project and I remain hugely impressed with you and your teams work thus far. Keep up the awesome work chaps
