I’m a new backer this month and am making my way through previous mailbag episodes now, so apologies if this has been asked already, but... I’m a big fan of the Criterion collection and have a bad habit of buying them way more often than I watch them. What junkfood gems are hidden amongst their library? I know some obvious ones stick out (Scanners, Night of the Living Dead, etc.) but which ones might have those hidden junky qualities? And yes, I will buy whatever you recommend here, so please be gentle. -David

You don't have to answer this, I just want to make the point. Why the hell didn't you guys review Hard Target for the JCVDecember? It seems like the ultimate junkfood film (esp if you watch the UK/euro cut) and I was shocked that you went with classier choices like Timecop which is practically JCVD's most mainstream film. Also kinda shocked with the lack of any John Woo movies in your whole reviewing history!

I mean, what do these guys have against Joe Dante's The 'Burbs?? It remains wildly underrated, the humor mostly still works, and its just as relevant today as it was in 1989. And its also Hanks' last comedic performance if I'm not mistaken.
