What are some non-holiday titles that are part of your regular rotation of movies you revisit during the holidays? I rewatch Coming to America because it used to air on HBO all the time during winter break when I was young, so it reminds me of Christmas, and makes it feel like Christmas, even though it isn’t a Christmas film

Merrill Barr

In the Kiss Kiss Bang Bang podcast, Cargill mentioned he had certain movies he would use to gauge what movies, or genres of movies, people should watch. Do you remember what movies you used, or was it a rolling thing? What movies are the ones you would use today?

Matthew Wiley

I didn't think much of Kristen Stewart up until recently in large part because of her association with Twilight (which I loved to bash on for awhile though I admit to not watching up until recently, and found to be certainly not great but also not quite as terrible as I thought they would be), but ended up becoming a fan of hers a couple years ago after watching her film Speak and a number of her other films, like Zathura, The Yellow Handkerchief, Adventureland, Camp X-ray, American Ultra, Personal Shopper, etc. Basically I did a bit of a 180 on how I felt about her as an actress, realizing that my assumptions were a little off base. Cargill has mentioned her a few times on the show so was wondering what you guys think of some of her other films outside of Twilight. Also a larger question, what are some actors or actresses, or films or shows, that you assumed were horrible and garbage but when you gave them a try ended up loving or at least gaining an appreciation for?

Lane Mullin

After writing as a hobby for a decade, I'm getting my first short story published on a small Canadian website. It is validating, but I'm not sure what my goal should be now. How many more stories should I see published before I start courting an agent? Is publishing one story a year good enough?

Matt Woodruff
