Hello Patrons! Apologies for posting last week's mailbag episode so late. I got wrapped up in the return of football season (I know, "boo, hiss." Stifle yourself) and the weekend got away from me. Still, this is a great episode! In addition to answering some stellar questions from you, Cargill tells the story of how he almost got hired to remake a classic Rutger Hauer 80s flick. Oh yeah, tune in for the whole story!

As always, thank you for supporting this show by being a patron!

I too need to dig into some Zatoichi.

Josephine Allegretti

I went through the Criterion Zatoichi box set a few years ago. Highly recommend it but many of the films have the same basic story/beats, so they're not fun to marathon all at once.

Jose Rivera

I've seen clips of Blind Fury but never had the chance to see the full film. I'm DYING to see it, though.

I now want Brian to watch all of the Zatoichi movies just so he can make a series of minisodes called Digging Into Zatoichi. 😄
