“You wanna be a big cop in a small town? Fuck off up the model village.”

Smapdi

Genuinely one of my top 5 movies of all time. Can't wait to rewatch this.

T.wiley

Amazing, so does this mean we're watching bad boys 2 at some point 😮

Athasin

His first boss wasn't in Harry Potter (as Lockhart) but he was Bilbo in the latest Hobbit movies. He was also in Black Panther and Wakanda Forever (and is generally in the Marvel universe as Evan Ross), in that movie with Jenna Ortega where he played her love interest, and he played Watson in Benedict Cumberbatch's Sherlock.

Athasin

Also Frank is in Harry Potter, he's Slughorn.

Lood

Where's Shaun of the Dead?

Nituschi

Absolutely love this movie. Just in case you ever feel like watching more police comedies at some point, there is a fairly obscure show called A Touch of Cloth that is worth watching. Each season is only two episodes (about 45 min each). Very absurd and the amount of jokes pr minute is insane.

Nathan Smith

A little bit of trivia: "Lurch" was played by Rory McCann (The Hound on GOT), one of the Detective Sergeants "Andy" was played by Paddy Considine (King Viserys on HOTD), Sergeant Angel's ex Janine on the CSI team is Cate Blanchett, and the Father Christmas/Santa that stabs Sergeant Angel in the montage is the director Peter Jackson.

Owen

This movie had a subtitle track when it came out on DVD and it just came up to explain every reference that was being made, same with Shaun of the Dead. Thanks so much for doing this one, I love this fucking movie so much lol

The Greater Good

Justine Cbn 📽

The casting for this film is incredibly good. I mean, all my favourite British, Scottish and Irish actors are in it lol (I don't know if you noticed, but the guy who says ‘Yarp’ is Rory McCann and he played the Hound in Game of Thrones, and the moustachioed policeman played King Viserys in House of the Dragon)!

Eric

Weird to watch the middle movie of the Cornetto trilogy considering there are callbacks.

Chris Bruneau

saw this one in the theater, haven't laughed so hard in a long time!!!!

Jose Murillo

I'm a huge fan of this movie, seen it loads of times and I still cannot get enough of it. When I got the notification on my phone I was really excited knowing it would be the girl's first time seeing this instant classic. It's surreal watching you both while I type this. EDIT: I hope Maple is having fun :D

ZitherManifesto

Cornetto trilogy, yes, please. Now, just Shaun of the Dead and The World's End.

Joe Blankenship

I just recently learned that swans are a protected species in the UK. They're all technically property of the Crown and you can get locked up for killing one. Now it makes more sense why they were trying so hard to catch it. And by the way, the "Yarp" guy is The Hound from Game of Thrones. Good ol Sandor Clegane.

Joe Blankenship

Yeah, this one hits different if you've seen Shaun of the Dead first.

Joe Blankenship

Been so long since I've seen it, can't remember anything about it. I rewatched the first one a while back. It's not that great.

Jacob King

The same team did a hilarious sitcom called Spaced

T.wiley

Yeah the first is meh but the second is fantastic

Patrick

I still rue the day I missed out on an auction for Adam Buxton's(the journalist) mangled corpse prop that he was selling a while back.

MrStelmacki

I would have loved to have seen their reaction if they found out the guy saying “Yarp” was The Hound from Game of Thrones.

Com1xguy

Olivia Coleman is great in this movie. Cannot wait to see her in The Roses later this year with Benedict Cumberbatch.

Ron Fisher

Been in the dumps lately (13th hospital visit this year on Friday) but you both watching this film really cheered me up. Thanks to you both!

Rollo Thomasi

“What’s the situation?…Two blokes and a fuck load of cutlery.” Fantastic watch guys!

Josh Miller

the fact they never noticed the twins is a shame
