I've noticed it also. It's just a sign to me they do not like this show or season that much. Or maybe as much as GOT.

I too always think about the Sopranos after hearing the HBO title white noise. Even though I've watched a TON of HBO shows.

Yea they don't show almond enough getting bullied and traumatized forepeople to have nuance about it. Rhaneryas children were awful to him though just so yay know its not just the one scene you see, remember this show time jumps

also as you hear the sea snake not every dragon is passed down, they need to pick them so his bullies just pressed him and then took his eyes then he turned pyscho every played a part to me lol

They did try, for years, Rhaenyra and Laenor talked about it at one point. They just couldn't conceive so they gave up, had their fun with other people, and boom Rhaenyra conceives with Harwin, which really implies that Laenor could've been infertile.

I like seeing the culture of the dragon keepers. Singing and handling the dragons. A little bit of Old Valyria.

jamie and Cersei would've been thrown out the city if they knew they had sex lol it was a big deal because no one dared to do it so blatantly. Also these are there rules and you don't uphold them so yes everything comes crashing gown

I always just assumed this. His actions wouldn’t be justified otherwise (not saying that they are now lol). You can tell there’s a deep resentment towards Aegon that’s been built up over years as well. The cons of timeskips I’m afraid.

It is my understanding that part of why this season is kind of, not bad but just stale and stuck, had to do with writer/actor strikes and them just releasing it anyway without delay. Hence why the season is both short and a bit uneventful so far. I don't mind a season without action, the action is kind of meaningless anyway most of the time, but it's quite clear imo when you hear the same conversation from Rhaenyra about not doing anything, or see Daemon being haunted for the 9th time, that they were struggling with rewrites (and not having writers for them). I think they were just filling time at some point. That it was a way to not deviate from the original script. Just have the characters do and say the same stuff. But in my book, not doing much is a far lesser crime than running the show off a cliff in the style of the late GoT seasons.

I think it's mainly because they are just sick of the intro and how long it is lol. That's why Maple is always freestyle singing to it haha

Strangely as the show goes on my favorite characters change dramatically. I never thought Helena would be 1 of my favorites but her and majority females and Daemon are the ones I like.

seeing Paddys flashbacks just reminds me how much he carried the show. glad they got at least 1 new scene I think.

Yeah, same. They always stare at their phones... and yap about something random. They could at least talk about the show. I don't even think they noticed they changed the sequence for season 2
