About the fear of Eldians. Obviously everyone knows Eldians can't just trun into titans willy nilly except for the 9 shifters. But it's the thought that a human can achieve such brutal destructive strength while other races can't is what drives the fear of Eldians. Especially of Island Eldians since they're not terrorised and brainwashed into submission like Eldians in Marley. This is just a cycle of hatred that keeps on going and going.

Porco’s reaction to the gang pulling up is one of my favorite scenes of the show. Season 4 delivers on hype moments and aura.

Genuinely love that you guys are giving an honest perspective to our POV characters on the other side of the sea, and as much as anybody from the OG crew. A lot of people get very tribal when watching this last stretch of the show, but its significantly better when you try to be empathetic to the entire struggle.

"I'm the same as you Reiner"... damn right! That line reaffirms my opinion that Reiner's the most unforgivable character in the show, regardless of how relatable or sympathetic his backstory is. I can forgive Reiner for everything he does, right up to and including the destruction of the first wall. But then Reiner sneaks into the interior. He flows in with other refugees and pretends to be one. He hears their stories. He sees their plight. He sees the starvation and the quarter million people "reclamation attempt" the government has to prosecute. He lives and struggles among them for YEARS. He even joins their military. And Reiner still decides to destroy the second wall, knowing how cataclysmic it would be for the population of Paradis. "I'm the same as you Reiner." "Why did you come here?", "The same reason as you did."

2026-09-05 05:00 Now the girls are starting to get it. You're so so SO right about how messy all this is. The first 3 seasons are amazing because it's just pure cinematic mystery. Very tunnel visioned on the task at hand and eventually getting to the basement. The last season is so the opposite. You know almost everything about the world and now we are focused on BIG picture. We no longer even know what the ultimate goal looks like. Also 6 episodes in 4th season after the 3 episodes of season 3 lore and Arianna is still saying Eladians. It's almost a meme at this point lol

This show is beautiful because you learn everything about the world at the same time everyone in the show does. You go from thinking titans are the threat to realizing the world hates you. Can't think of any show that's pulled off this form of world building

Also love how Pieck reacts to the sound of ODM gear, everyone that came back from that island developed some serious ptsd and they're making sure the others that weren't part of the mission understand why lol

sorry but i don’t understand how that’s the message you get from that line? he’s saying “im the same as you, i did it because i had no other choice”. reiner did all that in order to have a better life for his family, and because he was brainwashed to believe it was right. if he would have abandoned his mission him and his entire family would have been killed. that’s why he has split personality, because he struggled with which was actually right.

"They're devils!" [Levi swings in on ODM gear] That part's so cool.

I remember I got spoiled about Marley vs Eldia before I watched s3 and s4 (I had watched s1 back in 2013 ish then forgot about it until 2021 when I started seeing reels about it) and STILL, when I watched 3x19 end credit scene, I remember feeling something close to vertigo because the world suddenly became so big.

This is a really lame take lmao
