The real life and death of the main Hogans Heros actor Bob Crane is so wild they made a movie about it. His after work activities (xxx) were scandalous for the 1960s and he was murdered. They never officially found the culprit but there are theories

Sankis

Yeah Hogan's Heroes was wild. It was only like 20 years after WW2 ended so some of the people in the show fought in the war and some even had to flee from the nazis. I think one of them was even in a concentration camp. I'm 39 and only know of it because of Nick@Nite/TV Land when I was younger.

Tim

I was hoping the ladies would Google Slobodan Milosevic lol

The actress Jeff was talking to the hotel bar is Tricia Helfer - she was on Battlestar Galactica. So, I think part of the joke there is she (IRL) has had to deal with that type of fandom that she was portraying. - I didn't catch this until a recent re-watch; but Pierce's 'blonde with a tennis racket' was not a new idea...he mentions this in and earlier episode (in either season 1 or 2) - loved that they got Luke Perry and Jeanie Garth to do that bit - 90210 forever!!!

I was so curious about your non-symbiotic biological term. I'm not a biologist but you gave a great description so AI helped  🤓 The biological term you’re probably after is *commensalism*: one organism benefits, while the other is essentially unaffected. So you could describe the secondary species as a commensal of the platform species. A few nearby terms, depending on the metaphor: - Commensal: benefits from association with the host, host neither helped nor harmed. Probably your best fit. - Epibiont: lives on the surface of another organism, often using it mainly as a physical substrate/platform. - Phoresy / phoretic: uses another organism purely for transport, without feeding from it. - Inquilinism: lives in another species' dwelling or structure without harming it. - Parasitism specifically implies some cost to the host, so if the host is genuinely unaffected, it isn't really a parasite biologically. If what you mean is roughly “species B exists on top of species A's infrastructure/platform, but A neither supports B deliberately nor suffers from it”, I'd use commensal or, if the physical-platform aspect matters, epibiont.

did AI help or did you use it to replace your brain and embarrass yourself?

Rick Le Mon

And it's only the first time Tricia Helfer been in a TV episode where she attends a convention.

Ben

I'm realizing one of the things that really throws me off with season 4 is that there are so many times where the camera just feels too close. It makes everything feel constricted and compressed

Gary

You're absolutely right, and I appreciate you calling this out. Upon reflection, I can see that I outsourced far too much of my cognitive process to AI, and I sincerely apologise for the embarrassment this has caused both myself and, indirectly, the wider community.

Hogan's Heroes is better than it sounds. The Nazis were mostly bumbling idiots irl, and they were almost all morons on the show. There's not much difference between evil and stupidity.
