Damn; was honestly expecting this ep to be delayed till tomorrow. I think Fats line about it being more important to gain the respect of your enemy is that as a hero; you want the people that would against you to understand what you can do. The entire reason All Might was single handedly keeping crime down is cause everyone looked at him and went "Yeah, I'm not risking that one". It's one thing to be respected by your allies, its a very different, and arguable more important thing to be respected by your opponents. Maybe I'm tripping and making up things that didn't actually happen (wouldn't be the first time lol), but I seem to remember Aizawa saying before that the only reason he's as powerful as he is, is that most villains have trained their quirk to fight and freak out when it gets shut down. Someone like Toga then, who's quirk isn't really useful for combat and therefore has had to learn "taijustu" to fight really would be his most difficult matchup since his most powerful trump card is nullified.
