Objectively speaking there are some episodes that are even better than this one this season. However this one is my favourite, so good.

This episode is when Mirio proved he was worth more than the mistake he made when he refused to help Eri. HE'S A TRUE HERO! Probably my favorite character! Btw, in the manga, it's said that Mirio lasted 5 minutes against Overhal after losing his Quirk! That's impressive! Too bad the anime was content with epic visuals and music.

Fun fact: The name of Mirio's special move in the original version was "Phantom Menace", but it had to be changed to "Phantom Threat" in the English version, because it would be a copyright infringement on the Star Wars movie with the same title (it was allowed to stay the same in the Japanese version, because Japan has very liberal copyright laws).

It actually kinda solidifies a thought that I had when I first saw that Ep when Mirio encouraged Deku to walk away. There's a difference between listening to your heart and listening to your head; namely that you can't just be doing either one 100% of the time, because that just doesn't work. Sometimes they align, absolutely. But if they differ, you need to know when it's more important to do each, and I don't think Deku understands that yet while Mirio does.

See, I still don't think refusing to help Eri was a mistake, even though some people in-universe seem to think. It would only be a mistake if it ended up making things worse or harder; the only reason this assault is working as well as it is right now, is because he had the sense to hold back. I'm not going to say that he can't feel bad for doing what he had to do, but there are a lot of choices that you can feel guilty for having to do that nonetheless were the right thing to do.

Okay yeah: Overhaul is just 100% using Alchemy lol. That whole "turning the ground into spikes" is Ed's specialty XD I think the key with how they said "No" to the question of Shigaraki ordered them to betray the Yakuza is that.... he actually didn't. So even if that quirk forces them to tell the truthful answer to a question; Shigaraki never actually gave them a direct order to sabotage or betray the Yakuza. All he said was "just play nice with them for now, and we'll figure out the rest later", so even if was implied; the only order that he genuinely told them to do was simply wait. It isn't technically lying if you just don't tell someone more than what they asked about.

The thing is if they fought overhaul in that moment without even knowing his quirk they would have died for sure. At least deku, maybe mirio could have survived because of his quirk. But to do what deku wanted to do in that moment you need the strength of all might, so much power that you always win and nobody has a chance, this is why all might is the symbol of peace. But deku isn’t that strong at the moment, and mirio will never be, so mirios decision was 100% correct in that situation.
