Yeah; definitely holding onto the theory that it was less Deku being the one that broke Nighteye's prediction as much as it was Eri. Like: how are you supposed to foresee what happens when a girl rewinds time goes absolutely berserk? Pretty sure Overhaul is "quirkless" now because his quirk is activated through his hands. Similar to how Shigaraki or Uraraka need to be touching something with all five fingers to start decaying or floating things; Overhaul probably needs to use his hands to reconstruct things. In other words, no hands = no way to use his quirk = he might as well not have one. It might've just been a dubbing issue, but I feel like Overhaul beaat up that kid in the flashback because he called the Yakuza "mere villains". As in, 'there's no difference between you lot and a simple burglar', which is definitely the type of think that would've tripped Overhauls ego. Hence why the Yakuza boss "Look, I appreciate you trying to defend our honer, but you can't just go beating up people just because they say something you don't like". I get the feeling the boss is definitely the type of guy that understand that just because he's doing illegal things, doesn't mean he has to stoop as low as to act without respect.

The reason overhaul screamed after shigaraki took off his arms was not because he was in pain or he lost all his bullets and what he worked on. He was devastated when he realized nobody can heal his dad (yakuza boss) anymore that he put into a coma. He wanted to heal him after his plan succeeded.

I always thought that was just something he told himself to make it easier to become a monster. I see. But he put him into a coma, so he really lost his powers completely cuz he lost his arms?

I think he still has his quirk but he at least needs one hand to activate it so its basically useless. He can’t activate his quirk. Unless someone maybe rewinds his hands hahah

To be clear, Overhaul's quirk only worked through his hands, at least, he was never shown to use his quirk just by contact through any other part of his body. It's probably why he alway wore gloves so he wouldn't accidentally kill someone. So no hands = no quirk, even if technically you're not quirkless
