By the way, haki is still an invisible force just like it was before the time skip. Armament haki is given a black color going forward for the convenience of the audience so they know when Haki is being used in an attack. I assume this is because haki usage is going to be way more common going forward and it would be awkward for characters to announce each time to pump haki into an attack.

Nicholas Kent

After the timeskip, Oda decided to "colorize" Armament Haki so that most of the time we can see when Luffy is using it and when he's not. You will regularly see characters with black limbs or weapons from now on. Also, there's something you didn't mention. Luffy didn't shrink after using Gear 3! He got rid of that side effect during his training.

Lol Lucky has Usopp blindness, can't push past his urge to roast Usopp to see most of the crew (including the bad guy) panicking except Robin and Franky

AccordingToLucky

BUT I COMPLIMENTED USOPP! He was the loudest! U have a soft spot for him!

Krowft

Hahaha but I also criticise Usopp, I agree he's a bitch, but then I also think he's the most realistic one in the crew.

Krowft

If we were in one piece, and we were not unrealistic powerhouses like the others, we would all probably be crushed by the most basic fishman like the one Usopp fought in Arlong park, so we would all most probably be reduced to constant panicking and bitchyness if we were in the strawhats' journey. I believe most people might find that they can brag and boast and have a good image of themselves in mind, but if they're ever faced with the choice to run into a burning building to save someone they would probably chicken out. So most people are closer to Usopp in my mind

Krowft

All of this to say that I do agree with you that Usopp is a bitch, and he's the most scared, and he likely deserves roasting every now and then, but I simply see his merits even through all his downsides, he is, after all, still journeying in the new world despite his obvious fears

Nicholas Kent

It's not an invisible force tho. Usopp and Chopper saw Luffy's fist becoming black. Let's just say Oda came up with the idea after the timeskip and took advantage of the fact that no character used a huge armament haki attack before the timeskip. Before timeskip, we only saw small counterattacks against devil fruit users.
