Literally, her backstory is escaping from the celestial dragons, and then living on a female only island becoming the empress of Amazon Lilly, aren’t they forbidden to leave that island? How does piracy play a part, and why on earth would she choose to become a pirate if she’s an Empress? That doesn’t make sense.

Boa and her sisters were kidnapped off the Kuja pirates boat when they were already pirates. Women are not forbidden leave the island, it's just men who are forbidden from entering. The Kuja pirates leave the island so they can reproduce. She became empress when she got back to Amazon Lily probably because of her strength and beauty. So she was already a pirate before being an empress, and Amazon Lily is a pirate nation, so... That's why Boa took the role of being warlord, so her people would be protected from the WG, otherwise all the people of the country would just be treated as criminals

If the island is a nation, and she’s the empress, which makes this an empire. Then running a kingdom and attacking World Government territory as plundering worriers and looting the enemy is technically an act of war not piracy, right?

When Law first used his ability he "swapped" a person's head with a canonball, you may remember, the canonball was about to hit Law and then suddenly Law had a head in his hands and there was a headless marine near an explosion. He's essentially doing the same thing with himself when he teleports, he just swaps his whole self with like a pebble or a piece of snow or something in his destination and instantaneously swaps places (or teleports)
