Abdullah

Its the second most hated arc. Not because the content but the pacing

Enes Kekec

Yes but the pacing is even worse when you know that after Punk Hazard it gets really great to peak (even Ods said One Piece beginns just now after 1000 eps😅)

Blue buddy

I thought that was long ring island I never heard of punk hazard hate most people just say it’s okay

Bro that “Shirorororo” is getting on my nerves I’m hearing it too much😂

Blue buddy

Kizaru

I don't think PH is the second most hated arc lol, but I agree it's also not among the best ones.

Dow Sha-

I love one piece as much as the next guy but im sorry most of one piece is just slow garbage.

g27

That’s what makes seasonal shows better.

Ryan

Is 24 episodes to short of an anime to replace fmab are you looking for something longer for that poll?

Kevin Cahua

“Discord, all that” but actually discord gone 😭🤣

AccordingToLucky

Yea, usually i get something longer for that poll, but i guess i can make an exception

Imo it being slow isnt as bad as the logic in the show. Like whole marineford, powers ect. For instance Ive just had a thought when lucky was commenting on how they are nerfing Robin, Why doesn't robin spawn hands inside people and just crush their hearts? (and 1000 questions like this.)

g27

I had a feeling it’d be Naruto all over again. That’s what makes these shows bad. The main issue is that you get one author writing the story compared to American shows where entire teams work on multiple aspects of the story. For example, I remember seeing someone talk about a team that works entirely on the timeline of that story, so wherever the story is heading by the other teams, the timeline isn’t messed up and everything tracks. You also have teams of animation that works entirely budgetless and keep the animation consistent. There is an argument to be made that it’s not about being alone vs having multiple minds working together, but it’s that Japanese authors are just bad, because you have English single authors like Tolkien working on Lord of the Rings, or Charles Dickens, or Dostoevsky, etc. My feeling is that the Japanese authors’ mind sets are to make bucks doing these shows, like Boruto, compared to those authors that want to portray a story. The only time when the story was the priority, and everything had to make sense, they made something like AOT. But when they just make a platform for hype, it falls short.

Robin's fruit can only spawn body parts on the Surface of objects other other people so she can't spawn it inside of other people. She still should be killing people when she uses Clutch on their necks tho😂

g27

Topologically speaking, human’s body is basically a homeomorphic torus when you consider each invagination like the digestive tract or respiratory tract as an exterior part of the body and not really interior. Some people consider this differently though and say because most of the digestive tract is derived from the endoderm, that it’s “interior” and that the ends of the digestive tract like the anus and mouth are derived from the ectoderm, that it’s considered “exterior”. So by this definition, Robin can only spawn a hand at the anus, where she can shove it inside and might as well do a prostate exam, or if she spawns it on the mouth then she can shove it inside the throat and choke the person, or just scratch the interior of his throat or grab a part of it and yank it lmao. But by the definition of the first paragraph, she can spawn it right inside the stomach and reach for the heart and squeeze it. LOL It’s whether her powers work on the basis of mathematical topologies or medical embryology.

Organs have surface, they are "things" as well, the only thing she would need is observation haki to see them.

Krowft

The Yetis were very fast, but they were also camouflaging with the terrain to make Luffy less accurate, it wasn't shown very explicitly but they did mention the snow and terrain being to their advantage a few times

Late to the reply, but its not about money so much as it is about time and writing style. Tolkien is probably the closest comparison; he took 12 full years to write the entirety of Lord of the Rings, meaning he had ample opportunity to check and double check that the whole story fit together. He also has ample time in the confines of his study (and there actually are notes about this) for him to come up with an idea later on that means he need to change some parts of the story to make sure that everything stays confidant with the new idea. Oda on the other hand has a grand total of 6 days to ensure the story moves forward, and once he's done that, he is locked into that decision for the rest of the series and can't just easily make changes to what happened without coming up with a reason later on to retcon what the audience saw. He straight-up does not have the opportunity to comb over every single aspect of his work like that because Shonen Jump where he is publishing his work requires him to submit weekly. Frankly; the fact that he's managed to keep even some level of internal consistency with the story for 30 straight years while writing like that is insanity: I know I certainly couldn't do something like that.

To be more specific, Smiley didn't explode because he was made of gas, he exploded because he was made from hydrogen sulfide (H2S).
