G4 is basically Nightmare Luffy + Gear 2 + Gear 3

Rafael Ionut

Yep, we are also glad he isnt just reusing gear 3 the whole anime like someone i love but i need to say it... rasengan, big rasengan, small rasengan, wind rasengan etc 😅

José Lima

Gear 2 Luffy uses blood pressure, gear 3 is bones and 4 is muscle

Kizaru

I love Gear 4, glad you enjoyed it as well!

Gear 4 is not based on Conqueror's haki. It's almost like gear 3 over his whole body but more dense, likely done by coating his whole body in armament to make himself denser, and at the same time it's like gear 2 on steroids (so pumping blood extra fast for speed, bolstered as well by armament haki covering making his body able to withstand even more blood pressure) so it's even faster. So it's like Super Gear 2 and Super Gear 3 at the same time using armament haki.
