A quick reminder: “Devil fruit Awakening” was first mentioned by Crocodile in Impel Down, Crocodile implied that the Jailer Beasts has awakened their devil fruit that why they can get up many times after get beat by Luffy. But that was Zoan awakening, Paracemea awakening is different. Fans theorized that Chopper Monsters Point is a form of his Zoan Awakening (but only when he uses drugs)

I love the concept of Devil Fruit Awakening! It’s the next level of Devil Fruit mastery. Luffy hasn't awakened his fruit yet, but Doffy has had his awakened for years! And yes, a Paramecia user can spam their Awakening endlessly because they transform the objects around them without draining extra energy from their own body. That’s why Doffy is laughing—he’s trying to stall for time! Gear 4 relies solely on Armament Haki. But to maintain this form that makes his body both tougher and more elastic, he has to use up all his Armament Haki. That comes with a risk because haki has its limits! You can't generate it indefinitely. By the way, in earlier episodes, you were wondering why Luffy didn't use Conqueror's Haki to defeat Trebol. Firstly, it consumes a huge amount of energy, but also because Trebol was too strong. Luffy can't subdue someone who is too powerful; otherwise, it would be too easy lol. In reality, when it comes to subduing opponents, Conqueror's Haki only works on underlings.
