Train Facts - 1th April animatic (Patreon)

Hello guys, how are you doing?

Here's a little animatic I had in mind for a while. I wanted to celebrate 3 things: The anniversary of The Murder of Sonic, April's Fool as well as Autism Awareness Day, which is tomorrow on the 2th.

I cannot post videos on Patreon because I'm labelled as a +18 creator, so you can find the video as an attachement at the end of this post.

People joke that Shadow is autistic coded - which, as an autistic girly... we recognize our own LOL - and when I heard that audio... I just wanted to make something with it. There is that cliché of neurodivergent people really liking trains and, well... I have nothing to say... as I, actually, really like trains! 😂

I am such a cliché that it's a wonder I wasn't diagnosed sooner. By the way, did you know that up to recently, women and people of color were never considered for an autism diagnosis? That's one of the reason why people are getting more diagnosed now and also make you think on how many people never received the help they needed, for generations.

I purposely didn't put any allusion to shipping in this animatic, but you can see it through a shadamy lense too, the original video is about dating so you wouldn't be wrong. But the focus was how Shadow manages to be endearing with his passion for trains and how Amy and Rouge have no issues vibing with it (even though Rouge is being like "sigh here we go again").

Tails would enjoy the topic too I think. I couldn't help but remember that in the IDW comics, Amy made a museum and wanted to talk about her efforts and the pieces she choose to put in it - before she got interrupted. So is it canon that Amy enjoy history...? She wouldn't mind listening to Shadow on that topic 😄. Look at him, it's the longest we've heard him talk! 😂

This by no means reflects the quality of animation I want to achieve, I focused more on making good drawings mimicking the style of the game and I didn't put much time into it. I've been trying the last version of Krita to draw, and I tried one last time to use it to make this animation, and it was an horrible experience yet again so... I still don't recommend it for animation. I quite enjoy it for drawing, it has a lot of very useful features you wouldn't have on other programs... and it's open source and free!

I don't know if you l like it but thank you for watching my tomfoolery 😄Check the original creator of the music on tiktok too!

I'll also post a shadamy sketch so you don't feel scamed for this week if you don't like the animatic.

Kisses and hugs,

Vinnie
