July 14 - Summer vacations/projects (Patreon)

Hey everyone! Looking back, my last post was in March. It truly has been forever, but I've quite honestly just had my head down working! 

I was in a bit of a panic near the end of March. The school semester was ending in 3 months and I needed to find work for the summer. I was waiting to hear back from two editors about different books, but with Publishing, 'I'll touch base soon' can mean two days or six months.So, I put out a call online that my schedule was opening up and I was looking for comic and colouring work. I also emailed some past clients with the same info. From there: I picked up a 40 page project for the summer, and then a GN colouring job to start in the fall!

The 40 pg project is with a writer I've worked with before, who self-publishes through Comixology. She's super sweet, encouraging, and very much seems to get my style and energy. The story is about a future dystopian Chicago, and this group of rebel art hippy punks trying to fight back against the totalitarian control.

My goal is to complete the entire project by the end of August, so I can start school and the colouring job with a fresh slate!I also *~took a vacation~*

And this is the only photo I have to show for it, hahaha. I managed to choose the week we had a massive heatwave and thunderstorms, but it was still very, very good. I watched a bunch of Ghibli movies, rode a bike, visited this farm and got a lot of sun and rest.

I'm also looking forward to jumping back into this little Friday evening project! INCOMING ART DUMP!

The sports anime AU zine! I got a little burned out again from social media and trying to find summer work, so I took a break. Now I'm eager to jump back in!That's it for now! The rest of the summer I'll be working on the 40pg project as well as reformatting the EXORCISM/HAUNTED LIFE OF ANNA KIM pitch. That- and finally! Seeing some friends :''') !!
