Its a lot better than people give it credit for. Theres a lot of good moments that people just wont admit cause theres some bad moments. I enjoy it the more i watch it. its a fun emotional movie

I'm a life long fan practically raised on the original trilogy so I'm not just a bandwagon fan. My rankings from favorite to least favorite by episode number is: 8,5,7,9,4,6,3,2,1. With quite a big drop off after 3. I think the new trilogy is just as good as the original. I think a lot of original fans just hate on it because it isn't what they envisioned happening after Return of the Jedi for so long. If they could remove their preconceived ideas and take them as they are, they are truly great films. They will be appreciated in time, just as a lot of people have come around on the prequels. People hated Empire when it first came out and now it's widely regarded as the best of them all. Just takes time for people to settle in with the new. As Ben says, 'You're still holding on, let go."

I actually saw this twice in the theater and waited to watch my digital copy until I could watch it with Alyce! I had the same reaction on my first viewing as Alyce, but on my second watch all I could see were the flaws! Somehow on this third watch I still see the flaws but I was back to enjoying it again! I think that the film has more going for it than against it after all, and I actually liked it a lot better than number 8 which was dragged down by the worst slow-speed space chase in the history of film!

I didn't hate this movie as much as the last one, but there were some goofy moments with the use of the force that I didn't really buy.

I thought they did a solid job of using the Mandalorian to at least justify the Force healing - that episodes came out the day before TROS which was solid timing - I actually kind of love that the first thing Alyce ever saw was The Mandalorian - kind of the best introduction to the universe now - because you're on the ground with the people who think of Luke Skywalker as a myth
