What the... I posted a comment earlier, edited it to fix some formatting, and it vanished. Anyway... YOUR stats are bad? Come over to my place some time. I long since decided that the "do your best and let it happen" approach is the only one to keep you sane. (And yes, you have said that before but I can't point to it.) Mind you, it doesn't help that if you make just ONE misstep the YT algorithm machine guns you. Last Friday week I put up a video about the latest patch changes in Motorsport Manager. That got the highest number of MSM views I've had to date... but presumably YT promoted that instead of the regular episode that went up 11 hours later, as a result of which that one has the lowest number of views of any in the series. C'est la vie... Stellaris... OK, here's the thing in my personal view only. My hours on Stellaris are 0. I had no idea how the game worked, so for me the first episode was you clicking here, there and everywhere with me sitting there without idea one about what's going on. So I found a tutorial (finding them was easy, finding a good one less so) and I kinda sorta got the main gameplay principles. However... there was still a lot of clicking here and there on a map which, to the lay observer, gave no clue as to what was located where. This is different to TpF; in the latter you can see farms, mountains, rivers, cities, and relate to them and have at least a general idea of what is where. In a galaxy where this bit of space looks like that bit of space there is less of an idea where resources are, where threats are, where even the occupied parts of the map are. Also while amusing, I'm not sure that the venus fly traps were particularly relatable. In short, I had pretty much stopped watching the series and was more interested in watching the viewership numbers. I think that Civ would have less of a problem in this regard since a map of land is way easier to relate to than a map of space. You can see land forms, resources, enemies, etc. In short... it really wouldn't surprise me if nobody could make Stellaris work as a Lets Play. It looks like an interesting game, but one which is a lot harder to make work as a spectator sport. Other people's mileages may vary, but if so I'm wondering if there's a difference between experienced players and non-players.

Thanks for the update Colonel, much appreciated, as is all of your efforts to entertain us on the tubes of U each week. My wife gets a giggle in the background listening to your adventures through the various games when I wrestle control of the TV back from other family members to catch up on happenings. Your brand of humour and outlook strikes a large chord with us both. Carry on unsupervised.

Good to hear about what's coming and what's going on. Hubby and I are really enjoying the spin-tires series. He never enjoys what I do, so this is a good thing. :) I hope you find a good home that you can be in for longer than a few months. It doesn't surprise me that Stellaris doesn't do well for most people. The game is full of very small images and nothing really close up. It is also rather hard to follow all that's happening. So having it as a one day play would probably work much better. I am looking forward to Plant Coaster! I actually really enjoy the unusual type of show that you do. With PC it was the fun stuff you did in the beginning. I think that when you are mucking about with a game it works better for you. Mucking about is like your brand. You and Steggs muck about quite well and you muck about alone very well. Allie worked well in Player Unknown because she added an unusual fun aspect. I will watch Farm Simulator with you and Steggs because you will make it fun. I did enjoy watching the Cities Skylines in the background... even without talking us through what you were doing. Airport CEO is fun to watch as well... as I've said, you make watching things fun. I always watch what you give us and usually really enjoy it so keep it up. :) I do have one request... when you're doing first person, please slow the camera down. It makes me very ill to watch otherwise and I'm pretty sure I'm not alone with that. Thanks!

I was wondering if you considered Production Line as a game to try on the channel. It looks like something that'd fit and you might like.

Hey Cnl, aparently i missend this one....sorry. Again i’m Surprised not more people are saying this to you, but it really is becoming more a Steggs & Cnl Failure channel, instead of Cnl Failure’s channel. Personally i think this is a shame, i hear you saying you plan things more ahead and even interviewed Allybee? Really? So, its not really all that genuine? I really like how you and Steggs operate in spintires and planetcoaster, but it feels more and more planned and no longer original. What you were saying about farmsim really surprised me, again with Steggs?! Was my first thought. I have nothing against Steggs, but i’m Supporting YOU, because i like your video’s and you as a person, not Steggs........just my 2 cents.
