ATLAS - Bad Company multiplayer begins on Saturday (Patreon)

This coming Saturday (20 July)  we'll kick off ATLAS as a Bad Company game.

If you wish to play, details will be posted before the server opens at 18:00 BST before the live stream starts at 20:00 BST (19:00 UTC). You are free to start grinding your character during the run-up to the stream - my aim is for a flotilla of rafts to leave noob island during the stream (so don't set sail before that time please).

As I intend to record this series I'm going to impose a few rules regarding playing time. This is to ensure that the following situation does not occur:"...in the next episode I'll hopefully add a little more to the dockside outside my house."2 days later"As you can see, the entire island has now been paved over by half a dozen people who were on all day yesterday. That's the end of our series."

If I had all the time in the world this wouldn't be an issue. To that end, please impose a limit on your own playing time of 4 hours per episode. Whenever a new episode or stream goes up, add another 4 hours to your available play time. If you can't play for a few episodes, yes all those hours carry over. My aim here is to keep everyone as close together both in terms of level and the amount they've built as possible, while ensuring that whatever scheme I'm concocting on video isn't thrown off course.

The exception here is the pirate team. They can play as much as they wish, as they *should* be outnumbered by as much as 10-1.  If I opt to curtail their hours, I will make the request in due course.

You are, of course, free to play single player or on other servers as much as you like (as ever, I recommend you don't in order to keep the game fresh, but that's up to you.)

The alternative approach here would be to limit the number of hours the server is available. Given that Bad Company has players worldwide this would be unworkable, and we'd almost certainly limit the game for some people. I don't want to do that, so please limit your own playing time where appropriate.
