Game Rules

1. This is a PVP server with a code of conduct:

- Until the Pirate faction make a hostile action there is no PVP. Duelling is permitted if both parties agree.

- The Pirate faction can instigate PVP at any point. After an individual pirate has committed a hostile action of any kind they may be attacked on sight.

- Pirates are expected to attack players, damage or destroy property, and steal anything not nailed down.

- Pirates should not deliberately target the same player repeatedly. Obviously, if another player decides to attack a pirate they are fair game no matter how often they have been a pirate target.

- PVP is supposed to be fun. For the pirates it should be entertaining and challenging. For non-pirates it should add an extra layer of danger.

2. Factions:

- Only players who have been selected will be in the pirate faction. 

- Non-pirates ("civilians") are expected to settle on one island to build the first town

- The Pirate faction will have a totem-pole denoting their pirate base. If this totem is destroyed, the pirates are considered eliminated. Pirate players will then rejoin the main group with new players selected as the new pirates.

3. Early game

- Until all players set-sail during the first live stream please do not leave the initial island.

- Players will initially be restricted to level 8. 

- When we leave the island the pirates and civilians will sail together. The pirates are free to explore the civilian island before setting sail to find their own base of operations.

- The level cap will be increased on a weekly basis. The cap is in place to ensure that players with more time to play don't surge ahead of those with only a little time. Please be mindful, if you have many hours available to play, of those who don't get on the server as often. Provide help and resources if requested, it's the neighbourly thing to do.

- After the game has established itself restrictions will be listed. This covers both level cap and the islands that can be build upon. If more players join the game than initially expected we will expand the game world, and possibly add more factions.

4. Friend access

- After the initial 1-2 weeks of the game all players will be entitled to invite a friend to join the game. This is subject to 2 conditions: 1 - please let me know the name of your invited friend. 2 - they agree to abide by the rules as listed here.

5. Recording

- Everyone is welcome to stream and record as little or as much as they wish.

6. Server Access

How to add the Atlas server to your favorites.

1. Go to the Atlas page in your Steam library

2. Hit the View button (top of steam, second option)

3. Select "Servers"

4. Add a server 194.147.122.176:57561

This should now turn up in the favourites list on Steam as GTXGaming.co.uk - Region A1...

Once you're in the game you should find "Colonel Failure's Bad Company" in your favorites when joining a new server.

You can join the game as soon as you like. Please do not leave the starting island until this evening's stream.
