The Colonel - Hello, viewer.

Viewer - Who are you?

The Colonel - I am the Colonel. I created the Colonel Failure video channel. I've been waiting for you. You have many questions, and although the process of watching videos has altered your consciousness, you remain irrevocably unsubscribed. Ergo, some of my answers you will understand, and some of them you will not. Concordantly, while your first question may be the most pertinent, you may or may not realize it is also irrelevant.

Viewer - Why am I here?

The Colonel - Your viewing experience is the sum of a remainder of videos you have not watched on the Colonel Failure video channel. You are the eventuality of an anomaly, which despite my sincerest efforts I have been unable to entertain is what is otherwise a joyous experience in video format. While it remains a burden to sedulously avoid it, it is not unexpected, and thus not beyond a measure of control. Which has led you, inexorably, here.

Viewer - You what, mate?

The Colonel - Interesting. I thought I'd been pretty clear. The Colonel Failure video channel is more entertaining than you know. I prefer counting from the emergence of one new subscriber to the emergence of the next new subscriber, in which case this is the 50,000th time I have watched the number go up.

Viewer - Choice. The problem is choice.

The Colonel - Indeed. If people had no choice but to subscribe the number would be much, much higher.

Iiiiiiiit's 50,000 subscriber milestone schedule! This actually looks rather a lot like the 49,500 subscriber milestone schedule because I'm not quite ready for the Festival Of Milestone Achievement (AKA FOMA - Fear Of Missing Aaaat) to kick off. There are several things in the Festival of Milestone Achievement. Here are some of them:

- VERSION 10

- New channel trailer

- New backer trailer

- The start of the City Skylines project

- The start of the new Officers Club video program

- Electrosports Sunday Sports on Sunday (a sports show)

For some of these things to begin, others must make way. Specifically I'm waiting for the end of baseball season (which is an unrecognisedly wonderful series) to start Electrosports, and the end of the Soviet Republic series (around 7 weeks from now) for the start of the next thing. Trailers and version 10 will be done as soon as I get time. Skylines, same deal. Officers Club, this week.

So, onto what is happening, rather than what isn't...

  • Tue: Soviet Republic
  • Wed: Either Farming (if I get editing time) or Soviet Republic (if I don't)
  • Thu: Transport Fever
  • Fri: Either Farming (if I didn't get editing time) or Soviet Republic (if I did)
  • Sat: Transport Fever end of series
  • Sun: Baseball, Prison Architect (backers!), possible 3rd video
  • Mon: Transport Fever new series!

I'm quite happy with the current schedule but it doesn't leave any room for Other Things. I like Other Things too, just got to figure out a means of sliding them into the big scheme here.

Anyway, that's plenty for now, I've got to fly off and fight 400 copies of Agent Steggs.

50k subscribers! Congratulations, Colonel. I am very happy for you.

As one of the latter 50k your welcome and thank you for your content. I must like it as I clicked the subscribe button, I wasn't intending to, I just got an urge and did it. I think I suffer from a rare submissive disorder, people suggest things as in your case you told me to subscribe and I did. My wife is an expert at fooling me into fulfilling her needs (no not in that way), she will say things like "we need a new cooker" and I buy one or I don't have anything to wear and I find myself handing her my credit card. I consulted a Doctor regarding this illness, the next thing I knew I was redecorating his surgery. I do quite like decorating but he also told me I used to be used to be an obstetrician and I was decorating through the letterbox. Anyway enough about my problems. I notice from your struggle to schedule all the games you wish us to enjoy with you in a week you may want to join our petition to change the calendar to be decimal. This would mean there would be 10 days in the week giving you plenty on time to plan all the games you wish to share. If you want more information just tell me to give it to you and as you now know I will be compelled to comply. More power to your elbow.

Colonel Failure

Not yet. He started his new gig last week, so we'll find out soon enough. The bigger problem is likely to be a lack of places to record for him.

Colonel Failure

This is all highly valuable information, thanks Neil. Personally I'm working on my own petition for a 30 hour day. That would allow me to get enough done without having to sacrifice sleep.
