A Word About Fantasy Football (Patreon)

Here's a quick overview for those unfamiliar with the term.

Fantasy football is a game in which participants assemble an imaginary team of real life football players and score points based on those players' actual statistical performance or their perceived contribution on the field of play. As an owner you are responsible for picking the team, but that's it. Your scoring is derived entirely from how those players then perform in the sport in question - in this example, football.

Allow me, then to introduce you to Fantasy Electrosports.

You get to pick a handful (the number will depend on how many participants we have) of the Circus of the Mighty to form your team and go head to head against other members of Fail Brigade to decide a winner.

Want Bingo Hazmat, Bernie Crampons and Margot Spatula? Go get em! Their performance in baseball and other as yet undeclared escapades will dictate their score.

This is the first season, so expect some wonky behaviour, but I'm keen to test out the principle. 

If you'd like to play there is zero fee. The initial draft takes place on Sunday (European) evening, but don't panic if you can't make it, players will be automatically selected for you. Live chat for the draft will be in Discord, but you don't even need to attend that as you can make your selection remotely (I'll allow a minimum of 1 minute for your first pick - if you don't show in that minute, I'll auto-select on your behalf from that point on).

(Privacy note: I do not own this site, so please use due care when registering. I will be able to see your email address but won't store or save it for any use at all. The name you register under will be displayed to other participants - I recommend using your personal internet superhero name.)

I'll close applications if the number of participants goes above 100. In the future I'll open it up to be much broader.
