Over the next month it is my intention to start several survival game servers that will remain up and running "permanently". Each of these servers will run with a minimum number of mods (ideally none) to ensure that any future updates can be deployed without having to restart while allowing as many people as possible to jump in and have a go.

The aim here is to build something over time that is rather marvelous. No, I've no idea what that means. The server will be up for as long as practical - even if it's largely unused. I'll take it down or restart the world only if I have to.

In each case I'll only occasionally be in the game - time is not my most abundant commodity - but you are welcome to play as often as you wish, how you wish, with a minimum ruleset.

Here are the universal rules for Fail Brigade Survival Worlds:

1. Do not mess with other people's stuff.

That means no stealing resources, knocking holes in things or generally interfering with what they're doing unless there is agreement between you first.

2. Don't be greedy.

Yes, of course you can build in a prime location, but don't then declare 5 square miles in every direction your personal property. Land claim blocks of any kind... don't use them. If there is a property dispute at any point, try to resolve it rationally, and if that doesn't work speak to me and I'll arbitrate.

3. PVP will be enabled.

Not because we're all big PVP fans, but because friendly fire is funny in games (as long as it's accidental, and as long as you apologise!). If you want to fight another player lay out some ground rules between you. If they don't want to fight, they don't have to.

That's basically it. Essentially, your fun in the game should never come at the expense of someone else's. I reserve the right to ban anyone at any time without any notice, warning or caution issued, and will do if you're making things less fun for someone else.

Right. The first game up is 7 Days To Die.

Server address is 194.147.120.102:26909

Password is spongebath

Day length is 60 minutes with 18 hours of daylight. You will drop your backpack on death, but it won't disappear. Respawning loot occurs a little more frequently than before (no, I won't tell you how long).

Go get them zombies!
