BATTLESTAR GALACTICA | Colonial Day | Season 1 Ep 11 | First Time REACTION | Gallifrey Gals Get Frakked

On the "it rains a lot on Caprica" it is definitely plausible given that the prolific use of nuclear weapons puts a lot of fine particulates into the atmosphere which increases the cloud forming cycle. Also, depending on where weapons are employed they can vaporize a good deal of water and generally disrupt weather patterns. They can also change the absorption of solar radiation in different areas by changing the surface of the world. The impact on the ecosystem/biosphere of the number of nukes required to wipe out billions like that would be huge.

Oh Gals, that was so obvious that another Sharon was gonna turn up. And the guy that was fighting Apollo was in Austin Powers as Random Task.

Roslyn learns fast. Might wanna burn those pom poms you shake for her.

The Twelve Colonies names are a port from the original series. And it ties into the whole mythos and Earth.

RIPBriggs

Yeah, that'd be a spoiler... but talking of spoilers... You two remind me of the people who insist on swimming in alligator-signposted rivers because, "I've never been bitten, so far..." ;) My honest recommendation would be to skip the intro spoilers before you get one you'd regret, but hey-ho, lol...

Next two eps are gonna be frakkin ROUGH. Buckle up, inertial dampers to maximum.

Wade Wallenstein

Holy frak that was gold! Love seeing people's reactions to Baltar and especially Ellen who is easily the most hated character lol.

Ann & Alex Taylor

As good as the show has been so far, you gals are about to see it kick into an even higher gear. Enjoy!

Pokerpope

Allow it on thew preview if you want... but I will say...

Pokerpope

there is one specific episode early in season 3 that I BEG you not to look at the preview for. It spoils something BIG. I'll warn u closer to the time. Personally I'd look away for all of them but hey u do u - love watching with u!

Thontor

Do you gals not have a "Previously on Battlestar Galactica" in your copy of the episodes?

I love that Roselyn counts both the conversation with Gray and the conversation with Baltar as "two very unpleasant duties". Everyone thinks that the sun shines out of Gauis Baltar's backside and attributes any odd behaviour to the eccentricities of brilliance... but not Roselyn. Her instincts are that this so called scientific genius is actually utterly repellant, even though she can't attribute why. It's really interesting, and played quite subtly.

The names of the colonies are a spoiler. But to be fair, just about any question Season 1 will raise is going to be a spoiler.

John

Looking forward to the last episodes of this season and the upcoming seasons so much! Like in most shows, the first season is a lot of character establishment and world building and BSG is no different. By now you've learned many of the players and understand the universe, or as Q once told Picard, "The hall is rented. The orchestra engaged. It's time to see if you can dance. "

Brina Blue

The names of the colonies came over from the original series and yes, you did catch that they sound pretty much like the names of our Zodiac. Let me tell you, the Zodiac and Star Signs were HUGE in the 1970s! The stuff was literally and figuratively everywhere! As other people have hinted, this series takes it in a different direction so that's all I have to say.
