lmao, the bad guy song fits, because thats what they do in bridgerton. classical versions of pop songs. theres some fun nods to the show in this, some less subtle

Normally I'm not big on the whole romance or shipping stuff, but I am so on board for Doctor & Rogue. That was maybe the quickest I got invested in a romance maybe ever in TV and movie.

possibly though it could be The Curse of Fatal Death side note but it was mentiond in a 8th Doctor novel that there are 3 9th Doctors in refrance to Shalka and Curse

OMG Yes! I'm here for the 1995 Pride and Prejudice reaction! I used to watch it on repeat when I was a child and it is still one of my favorite mini-series of all times! So Iconic and so brilliant!

I actually didn't catch the earings foreshadowing and completely believed Ruby died.. I thought that it was leading to a finally two parter about getting her back..maybe something to do with her mystery of a birth.. or maybe I was just too invested in the Doctor and Rogue story line - because I gotta tell you, I was squealing and smirking throughout their scenes together, they were so cute!!!! XD Jonathan Groff is amazing, and he's an A-list actor who will definitely be back (I hope..) - If you guys watched Hamilton, he played King George

When I was a soft-butch enby starting out in college/university back in *cough*1991*cough*, as an English major I honestly thought all the swooning girls in my class who were big Jane Austen fans were a bit 'weird'. I just thought her books were 'girly'. Fast forward to my 30s, when bored one night I watched the Keira Knightly 'Pride and Prejudice' film and I was, as they used to say, OWNED. IT WAS SOOO GOOD. Then I watched the mini-series and fell in love with it too. Yeah, now I want to give my young-self a telling off -- LOL! (I actually just introduced my wife to the film about a year ago. I joked that now that she's transitioned, she needs to share in the Jane Austen love with all of us, especially the hand-flex. #ifyouknowyouknow)

Funny thing, because I'm so old (Gen X), I actually ONLY know 'Bad Guy' by Billie Eilish from Bridgerton (a total guilty pleasure of mine) -- LOL! That show is nothing but modern songs done in an orchestral style, so this was an homage to that. (Again, I'm old, so I only know the songs from watching reactors -- 'Oh my god, it's a Taylor song!', 'OMG, Beyonce!', etc -- but that's definitely a Bridgerton staple).

I'm hoping for Shalka to be canonized, personally (but then I'm a weirdo that prefers his Ninth Doctor to the Eccleston one)! Then again, RTD has gone on record as HATING Shalka, even calling REG's performance as 'lazy' and 'only doing it for the paycheck/paycheque' (SMDH!), so who knows...

Yeah, the Doctor transporting the Chulder to a 'barren dimension' to tortuously die slowly versus immediately killing them definitely gave me Thirteen not wanting the huge spider to get shot but being cool with it and its babies slowly suffocating to death. :/

Not sure if you noticed, but this episode was written by Kate Herron and Briony Redman. Herron was a director and executive producer for S2 of 'Loki'! Definitely hope they write more for Who in the future (but then I'm a HUGE Loki stan)! (Also, on the production end of things, I loved how they dedicated the episode to late, great William Russell -- which seems to have only showed up as a card on the BBC-British version, not the Disney-US version)

Also I don't know if Tales of the TARDIS is on D+ however there is an episode of it due to come out and be set in between the last two episodes. If you've not heard about it before, it's set in a 'memory tardis' where old doctors and companions retell and bookend some iconic stories so if the episode with Ncuti does come out it could hold some lore or information the next episode of DW doesn't tell us. :)

Great you got the stuff. The Wesley Crusher cup cozies were totally a fluke. I was thinking about buying a Montreal Canadiens cozie for my uncle and I looked at the rest of her items and saw "The Wesley Crusher." one. First thing I thought was Paula and Kat would love this. She makes it for Iphones and Ipods as well but thought the cup one was best. Didn't expect the Fuzzy Peach candies to get such a reaction. Lol. Awesome reaction video as well. "That's how a two parter works" lol

If it was a Moffat episode that would have been exactly how they would have reacted, they got thrown off because it wasn't. it funny actually how this episode get a pass by the gals for pulling a Moffat because the technobabble that saved Ruby was properly established in the beginning.

I didn't believe Ruby died but I was really worried they're gonna reveal she survived because she's some super special multidimensional snowperson or something. Glad that didn't happen :)

I've seen all your Doctor Who reactions on YouTube, but now I'm (re)watching the full watch-along versions you made. I just watched your reaction to The Snowmen, the introduction of Clara as Victorian governess/barmaid where Clara is immediately flirty and kisses 11 and 11 leans into the intimacy... And for you, Paula, it's just too soon after losing Amy and Rory and the Doctor seems to forgotten about River completely. And that is a little like my reaction to 15's romance with Rogue. I loved this Bridgerton episode and really like the flirting and dancing and kissing and emotional Doctor that we have now. (11 is kissy, but in ways that often really aren't consentual. He's taking liberties and crossing boundaries all the time. Which is really fun and playful and... maybe not.) And, at the same time, part of me was feeling so sad for Yaz... like, why couldn't you have let yourself establish something of a connection like this with Yaz, Doctor? Anyway, just resonating with your reaction of three years ago and grateful for it.
