One of those transitional episodes that early S4 gets a lot of stick for, but this one is good because it fittingly lays a lot of lore down for characters who are in a state of flux and evolution. As well as Kara and Lee, the Cylons are going through some growth too; Cavill (love him) as the old guard vs Natalie Six as the firebrand, who takes the 'shots fired' analogy literally. And Sex God Gaius actually having compassion for a person other than himself? A serious Gaius might be a very dangerous thing.... And as for Head Gaius, my Head Canon tells me he is from a previous incarnation

Lotta piece moving this episode. You may dislike Gaius, but you can't deny James Callis is a hell of an actor, dude had chemistry and comedic timing with himself. In a way, I view BSG and LOST as sister shows. Came out in the same era of TV, lot of theorizing around them, which I think ultimately affected enjoyment at the end, both blending mysticism and Sci-fi. Glad you felt this one a little more. Oh, and the Cylon Models are: Cavil - 1 Leoben - 2 D'anna - 3 Simon - 4 Doral - 5 Six - 6 Sharon - 8 The Final Five have yet to be given numbers.

Regarding extended editions... I may be biased in saying this as for BSG I do have the extended cuts, but while yes, I may be paying for a full length reaction tier, I'm also technically paying that to watch a show I like along with people I enjoy watching stuff with (which is a hell of a sentence to say out loud or type 😅🤣) as such, for me personally, I'd also like you both to have the best watching experience you can. Which may be a cut considered superior to what is widely available. In theory, I'd be happy to watch the youtube edit of a cut I don't have, if it means you got to watch the best/preferred version. Course, as I said, that means less as I do have the extended cuts here, so my feelngs are a bit moot, but I feel in practice that'd be true... I wonder what other Patreons take on that is? Is it more a bummer to have paid for full-length, but not get to watch it if you don't have the cut, or are we largely good with not watching a FL paid for occasionally as long as the Pals get the best viewing? Either way, that's a wild business concern ONLY a reaction channel gets. "Oh no, are we gonna lose cash flow if we choose the wrong cut to watch?" Said no business person in the 20th century, ever. Like nevermind health concerns adding to concerns about runtime, lets throw audience retention metrics on top of that decision. Enjoy your stress. Blegh. (Personally, I will say IMO, all the extended cuts of BSG, including the extended all-in-one finale, make it a better show - shame streaming doesn't always have that option)

It always bothered me how Roslyn expects everyone to believe in her visions without question, but she refuses to even entertain the idea that Kara may be for real. Yes, she thinks Kara might be a Cylon, but we've also seen Athena - a Cylon - be an asset to the fleet.

It took me a long time to manage to sit by myself at a restaurant (or our equivalent of a diner) and eat without feeling uncomfortable. I believe I still feel the need to pull out a book or a talk on my phone, but I am no longer taking the order on the go and sitting by myself on a bench nearby by 😅 So, good on you Kat!

The acting in the show is so superb, it never ceases to elevate the material and take me by surprise.. I grew up watching Quantum Leap, for example, which Dean Stockwell (Cavil) played a big part in, and he makes Cavil so vicious and remorseless I get whiplash everytime - he was the epitome of the best friend to the main character in that show, a decorated soldier and all around the best person you want to take with you on an adventure through time..
