All of Harry's engagements were "oranged."

Dryfesands

Jim Broadbent turning around after the Archbishop has told him to "Shut Up" to say "Silencio!" to the congregation is my favorite little joke in this whole series. It *just* beats out "I wish to entwine him again in my broad thighs." which is one of the funniest lines ever written for some reason. Beyond that Miriam Margolyes is just incredible. She's a force of nature.

Mark Ten

Ahh it's the voice of Beep the Meep!

Troy Convers

Fantastic episode, but you have to look at it and other older non-PC works through the lens of history, both of the historical era and when the episode was made, because otherwise you will just keep winding yourself up. And if we're going to get precious about insulting a woman's looks, did you conveniently forget she sexually assaulted two men without their consent, one of whom was forced into two arranged marriages? Works both ways, doesn't it?

YES! Proffesor Sprout and Professor Slughorn πŸ˜‚

Regarding Frasier... I have to admit that "Three Cranes" joke always got me, but more for the unexpected pun than anything. Another wrinkle for Daphne's actress in that season; it's not just that she was pregnant, they also made her wear a fat suit on top of that. As for this episode, it's the one I was worried the most about for you to see.

In series 2 the outro changes. It's the same music but every episode the lyrics change to a humorous recap of the episode. It's comedy gold be sure not to miss it. Also the best part about this episode is Bryan Blessed spends the whole episode playing a pre-alpha version of Warhammer Fantasy.

Robert Carson

Yes, the jokes don't hold up but the sad thing is the historical part is even worse. The implication with Harry is his father keeps marrying him off and forgets.

Firefly24601

Good to see you agree that this was a horrible episode for everyone.

Sebastian Bodine

A definite hazardous trip to the pre-Ben Elton days of Blackadder. While they dip back into more problematic territory again later, it at least comes across less obscene and more witty.

Dean Madden

The first few episodes I was thinking season 1 is quite a bit funnier than I remember...and then we hit this roadblock of an episode. Yikes.

Hell3Quin

I do love the messenger. His whole thing to to record events and then repeat it. Also Harry is engaged to 20 odd ppl because his dad keeps marrying him off.

Jane Leaves as Daphne is a link to Red Dwarf as she played Holly for the American pilot and Robert Llewellyn stayed at her house, this was the mid 90's so the rest of the cast assumed they were sleeping together which was not the case. Rob's memoir The Man in The Rubber Mask is a great read insights about Red Dwarf and I'm inclined to take him at his word.

Troy Convers

Ben Elton is just as guilty of the 'isms' in later Adder.
