Why has it taken me over 20 years to get that the restaurant is called House of Chang because it’s one letter off from House of Change 🤦‍♀️

Time Lord

Yes! If you watch the intro we were gifted a donation for a specific movie reaction and this was the one they asked for! Which we had a lot of fun with!

The tension... waiting for you to figure out who Rosalind Chao was. It was both excruciating and perfect all at the same time! 😆 The first time I saw her outside TNG/DS9, was The Joy Luck Club, the most recent was as a bad guy in Three Body Problem. Seeing her in random things I'm always like, "KEIKO?!?!?!?!"

This makes me think of all the body-swapping that's happened in Trek. (one in particular that's coming up) It's a popular plot device -- good times! I really liked this movie, despite the problematic "mystical Asians" stereotype.

This reaction gave me an excuse to finally watch this. Frankly, I thought it was shockingly good. It's also lowkey a pretty intelligent movie in that so many of the jokes had to be set up in advance (almost Back to the Future style). And then the audience has to be totally engaged with what is happening from scene-to-scene to appreciate all the payoffs. (And yes, if you'd gone through the entire reaction, and skimmed Rosalind Chao's imdb credits, without seeing Star Trek, I would've flipped a table. There was a couple minutes when it literally seemed like you were going to bail on her imdb before getting to Trek.)

You should watch Rain man next......great movie

Loved this! Thank you both for such a wonderful reaction xx

Phenomenon (Doo - Dooo - Dah - Doo - Doo)

Am I mathing right? Paula was born in 84, making her 41 or 42 if her birthday in 2026 has already passed. In all honesty, I never would have guessed above 26 or 27. Whatever you're doing, it's RIGHT!
