This episode totally didn’t make me cry! 👀

Travis Boyle

Probably one of my favourite episodes of the season. Joel Grey was great. Apparently they offered him Star Trek roles previously but turned them down until he read this script. And he also got to work with Kate Mulgrew again. Also liked the Tuvok and B'Elanna scenes

Data Cable

At first glance, I got the impression one of those Mokra security uniform jackets got re-purposed for a prominent costume first appearing later this season in DS9. Paula might know the one I'm thinking of. (Hint: "Intendant") You've seen Alan Scarfe (Mr. doesn't-blink) as two different Romulans in TNG, in "Data's Day" and "Birthright, pt. II"

Troy Convers

The sort of 'down in the weeds' episode I want to see more of in Voyager; scarce onboard resources and the crew fighting to survive. The director (Winrich Kolbe) is a Vietnam veteran and you can see some of this in his direction; dark, gritty and people scarred by long unending conflict. And yep, Joel Grey was the Emcee in Cabaret and the actor playing Augris was a Romulan in 'Data's Day'; I'd recognise that voice anywhere.

Troy Convers

Tuvok's head jig when he gets the weapon is pure 'right, now I'm pissed off' energy.

Siva

Excellent episode. Excellent acting. Not too much else to really say about it. Solid.

Ben Chan

I kinda felt bad for Harry - he had to fix the engine, then think of all the ideas for defending the ship and saving the away team... kid deserves a free coffee or something.

xeve

He should've gotten a promotion ;p.

I sensed a depth to the connection I normally don't get between Kate and guest actors, so their history makes sense. OT, he also voiced a character in "Twas the night before Christmas" cartoon with the clockmaker iirc was the character he voiced.

Firefly24601

It's Tuvok! He's gone to plaid!!!!

Dax

The Kazons are when you order Klingons from Wish

And for great Jake/Sisko episodes, wait til you get to the episode "The Visitor". Keep a tissue box handy for that one.

I saw Joel Gray play the MC in a production of Cabaret that played in Boston back when I was in college (this was the late 1980s). It was doing a pre-Broadway revival stop in the city and somehow (don't ask me how) a friend of mine scored tickets. TV cannot possibly capture how hypnotic he is on the stage. The funny thing is I saw the movie AFTER I saw the live production. There are some changes between the movie and the play (the movie is truly its own thing) and definitely well worth the watch.
