Ty so much for uploading these at regular, reliable times 🥳 makes wednesday after-work so much easier ✊

“I am eating the onion bhaji. Why? Because I am the man that makes the bhaji go away!” One of the best line deliveries in any production ever 😄

With this segment done, and with Nicholson being such a key… not actually player, but piece on the board, it's fun to go back to Season 1 and the specials and look at what he's doing there. He's _very_ high up in the apparatus, but already back then, they joked about how ineffectual he was and how bad his ideas were.

I've only ever seen him in Rev which he is very sweet in (he's a Church of England vicar). So this is weird for me seeing him as this utter sociopath! Was getting major bnp vibes from even before the weather map line so I'm sure he's a massive racist especially with the juxtaposition with Malcolm who hasthat line about haters & Nelson Mandela. The tory's even now deify that Bitch thatcher who did her best to demonise him & labelled hima terrorist.

My favorite line reading of all time and my second favorite line with the word 'choo-choo.'

Tall Paul

Long time youtube watcher, first time on Patreon. I felt I had to check if the Pals know Malcolm Tucker is based on a real person with several things in the show rumoured to have happened? If you want to know if Malcolm is married you just need to check Alastair Campbell's wikipedia

Sebastian Bodine

I remember him as the evil head of the East India Trading Company from Pirates of the Caribbean sequels. Definitely had a laugh knowing that you recognized him because something Jane Austen related.

JD Robertson

It’s not a good show, but actor David Haig, who is so creepy here, plays a very fun character on Amazon’s Étoile.

Ross Nolan

He was in a series called 'Rev' where he plays an Anglican parish priest in modern London. Very low key and naturalistic, and times almost more dramedy than sitcom but well worth it if you want to see him play someone likable.

Fantastic as always! Heading into Series 4, I feel you need a little bit of political context to get the most out of it... Series 3 was broadcast in 2009. In 2010, we had a general election. The Conservatives (Peter Mannion et al) won against Labour (Malcolm Tucker et al) but they didn't get a large enough majority and so had to enter a coalition with the Liberal Democrats, a smaller party. The Lib Dems have fairly malleable politics with their position on the political spectrum largely defined by their leadership. They have traditionally been kingmakers, and have been junior partners in minority governments for both Labour and the Conservatives historically. Series 4 was broadcast in 2012, two years into the Con/Lib Dem coalition . Enjoy...
