As bad as you might feel about Nicola, at least it felt good taking out Ben Swain in the same move.

How did Nicola become leader? Historical parallels lead me to suspect that after the party lost the election the membership decided to plump for someone they saw as idealistic and radical, relatively untainted by previous failures, but who then turned out to be rubbish at campaigning. Maybe in ten years or so she can get to be energy minister and be in charge of policy on net zero.
