Ugh, this episode. The second and most prominant of the trifecta of episodes that is ALWAYS on whenever I'm channel surfing on TV and see Voyager is on.

Makhiel

I mean I like the twist but it kinda gets more convoluted than it needs to when the aliens refer to these "elders" as "our children".

xeve

it's an endearing episode, Tuvak interactions wih the "kids" overshadows any issues I may have with the episode. Tbh, I can't think of a Tuvok centric episode I don't enjoy watching.

xeve

OT, in the under appreciated sci fi titan of show "Mork and Mindy" aliens aged backwards as well. ;P

Ben Chan

It's cute that Paula made a "Three Men and a Baby" reference since that was directed by another Vulcan -- Leonard Nimoy. Speaking of, I love how they broaden our understanding of Vulcans by giving Tuvok a family and having him describe that connection in Vulcan terms. I feel the more we see Tuvok, it's apparent how much he's more well-adjusted than Spock.

Locoturbo

Well.. that's over! Very interested to see some upcoming episode reactions for different reasons, but I won't spoil which!

:1520: Tuvok: Vulcan children learn to seperate themselves from their fears. Kids: How? Children, severe trauma, that's how

Jonas

I liked this one. I think the acting was better than usual. They must have had a good actor director for this one. Other than the exposition dump at the end, it's well written, too. I don't get the hate. Also, those kids were so cute in their little old people outfits.

Travis Boyle

Fun Tuvok episode. If you want to check out a hilarious short video look up Tim Russ Explains Star Wars Day

that's only weird if we assume they also have a regular childhood. considering the way they die, I won't be surprised if that specie can somehow shape energy into fully formed adults.

Makhiel

Wouldn't that be an error of the universal translator? One of the kids asks Tuvok if he has children, I think it's unlikely they meant "do you have any grandparents?".
