women are subservient and weak to the kazon, as long as they “know their place” they’re treated…..fine.

I think my favourite scene was Suder pleading with Janeway. That awful insecurity when everything you say is well-intended and painfully sensitive, but it just works against you the more you try, like after a messy breakup.

the kazon are the least interesting anatagonists in Trek imo. Though Seska is a good antagonist. Suder makes this 2 parter imo.

Fun fact I found out recently: the actor for Tierna was Morgan Martin in Earth 2. I never would have known. They’re such different characters. Had this episode (along with Resolutions) on VHS back in the late 90s as a late teen, so watched this to death. Excellent stuff.

it was also giving me the vibes of someone who hates corporate culture and when someone says “I’ll take it under advisement” it means I’ll put it aside and forget about it
